Obaro Appointed Maiden Chairman Obalufon Royal Dynasty Forum Ile-Ife
-------------------------
Sequel to the visit to the Obaro of Kabba by a high powered delegation of top echelons of the Obalufon Royal Dynasty Forum Ile-Ife led by HRM (Arc) King Adedapo Aderemi Alaiyemore of Ido-Osun, the Obaro of Kabba & Chairman Okun Area Traditional Council has been appointed the maiden Chairman Obalufon Royal Dynasty Forum Ile -Ife & Diaspora.

The appointment is in recognition of his dynamism and more importantly the ancestry of Kabba and Okun people from Ile -Ife and from the Obalufon Royal household.

It will be recalled that the Obalufon reign was an epochal phase in the royal history of Ile- Ife with the mercurial and creative rulership of Ooni Obalufon Ogbogbodinrin and Ooni Obalufon Alaiyemore who together brought about the glorious Obalufon Royal Dynasty that in turn postmarked the imperious art, craft, bronze sculpture and beads which still have stunning effect on the appreciative international world today.

It was also their reign that witnessed waves of migrations from Ile Ife (about 12th to 14th century) to other lands like Efon-Alaye, Ido-Osun, Epe, Okunland etc.

It should be recalled that His Majesty the Obaro of Kabba led a cross-section of top ranking Okun traditional rulers to Ile-Ife (17th to 20th December 2020) to honour a royal invitation as the Chairman of the Obalufon festival. This was a glorious and unprecedented visit by Okun obas to the ancestral Ile-Ife. The invitation was at the special behest of His Imperial Majesty Ooni Adeyeye Babatunde Ogunwusi Ojoja II Ooni of Ife.

Details of the investiture of Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi the Obaro of Kabba as the maiden Chairman Obalufon Royal Dynasty Forum will be announced in due course.
