Our Airports Must Be Efficiently Handled—Rep Garba

The Chairman House of Representative’s Committee on Aviation, Rt Hon. Abdulahi Idris Garba has described airports as national security assets that must be efficiently handled for safety and economic development.

He stated this while addressing the Officials of the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development and heads of it’s agencies during a joint audit investigative session on enhancing the accountability and competency of the Nigerian Airports in National Assembly, Tuesday.

Hon. Garba, also noted that the meeting was in furtherance to the resolutions passed by the House in plenary on Tuesday May 21, 2024 regarding the competency of the nation’s airports.

He reiterated that airports as critical security zone required that the personnel and contract staff working there were qualified and competent to ensure safety of equipment and all users of the gateways both locally and internationally.

The Aviation Committee Chairman also stressed that the parliament was equally concerned about the functionality of the infrastructure and all the technical equipment available at all the country’s airports and was ready to work with the executive to ensure that what was necessary would be done to ensure that standards were maintained in the industry.

He stressed that the session was of great benefit to the nation and urged the Minister of Aviation, Barrester Festus Keyamo and the heads of the agencies to be frank and sincere in the submissions during the discussions.

Hon. Garba who also represents Kontangora/Wushishi/Mariah/Mashegu Federal Constituency of Niger State in the House of Representatives consequently reassured the Minister and his team that the committee was prepared to assist the sector in making sure that the mandate given to him and his officials were achieved

Eid-ul-Adha: Hon. Abdullahi congratulates Muslims, seeks prayers for Nation

The member representing Kontagora/Wushishi/Mariga/Mashegu Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Idris Garba (agaban Kontagora), has felicitated with Muslims as they celebrate this year's Eid-ul-Adha.

He urged the Islamic faithful to emulate the Prophet Mohammed by imbibing the ideals of sacrifice exemplified by the Holy Prophet.

In a Sallah message by his media aid, Mal. Nafiu Tanko, in Abuja, the member said that Eid-ul-Adha was a season of love, peace, togetherness and sacrifice.

He urged Nigerians to continue to embrace peaceful co-existence, show love and care to one another irrespective of their religion or tribe.

He called on the Muslim Umma and Nigerians to continue praying for the peace and progress of the
nation.

Hon. Abdullahi congratulated the Muslim community in his constituency, state and world at large on the celebrations and assured his constituents that he would continue to partner them to move the constituency forward.

He said; "we must use the Eid-el-Kabir celebration to reflect further and pray for our country to overcome the many problems confronting it.
"This year's Eid-el-Kabir celebration is coming shortly after the celebration of my one year in office.

"As a people we must be patient with government at all levels as we move to consolidate on the reigns of governance across the country.
"As you celebrate let us learn to be our brother's keeper by ensuring peaceful co-existence among one another irrespective of tribe and religious belief.

The member representing Kontagora/Wushishi/Mariga/Mashegu Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representative, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Idris Garba (Jagaban Kontagora) has reiterated his commitment to serve his fellow constituents to make his one year anniversary in office.

The member made the comment while speaking with Gulmawuya’s correspondent via phone interview, saying “I’ve never been more committed and dedicated towards serving the good people of my constituency.”

“These can be seen in my efforts to provide the necessary support to my fellow constituents through my constituency projects.”

The serving member said he and his team are currently working on ways to better the lives of the people of his constituency as well as to reduce the level of unemployment and foster the economic growth of his people.

He also thanked his team, supporters, and each and every member of his constituency for their prayers and support. Promising to never let them down.

He also urge his constituents to continue to prayer for him for God guidance and protection against anything eternal force that will distract him from achieving what he wants to achieve in moving his constituency forward.

My Constituency First: Celebrating One (1) Year of Dedicated Hardwork and Continued Progress For The Betterment of Our Great Federal Constituency (Kontagora/Wushishi/Mariga/Mashegu)

✅1/10: HEALTH: Another intervention in the health sector by the performing law marker, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Idris Garba, where he donated the state of the art medical equipments to Kontagora General Hospital

✅2/10: EMPLOYEMENT: As part of our effort to provide job to the youths within our constituency, we were able to secure more that twenty (20) Federal Appointments to graduates at places such as FCDA, FCTA, FAAN etc.

✅3/10: WATER PROJECT: In his effort to provide accessible clean portable water to our people, to end the shortage of water crisis affecting some areas within our constituency. The hardworking lawmarker has commissioned eight (8) newly drilled solar powered community borehole with water filters and has hand over the project to the members representing the good people of the communities that projects were executed at. Among the communities are as follows; Unguwar Fanfaru behind Government Girls College Kontagora LGA, Within Zungeru - Wushishi LGA., Unguwan Makada - Kontagora LGA, Kuimo - Mariga LGA.

✅4/10: EDUCATION: The law marker through his education foundation has provided over six hundred and eight (608) scholarships to students studying at various government universities, colleges of education and polytechnics across his constituency.

✅5/10: POWER: As part of his intervention in the power sector by the serving member, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Idris Garba, as he donates three (3) 500KVA electricity transformers to three (3) separate communities within his constituency, the places as follows.

✅7/10: INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT: Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Idris Garba has so far installed 1,450 solar powered street lights across various communities within his constituency. The essence of this constituency project is to foster infrastructural development and enhance security surveillance within communities.

✅9/10: EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP: The member is working tirelessly towards the completion of the newly constructed one thousand (1,000) capacity Information and Communcatiom Technology (ICT) centre in Federal College of Education Kontagora (FCE Kontagora).
His objective here is to develop Information and Communcatiom Technology (ICT) in Federal College of Education Kontagora to a level that will serve as a backbone of development in teaching, innovation, research, administration and service within the institution and the community at large.
Inview, the member hopes the ICT Centre becomes an accredited Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) centre to ease the stress for both parents/guardians and students from moving to the nearest towns or even neighboring states close to our constituency to seat for their JAMB Examinations when accredited centers within our area are occupied.

✅10/10: RAMADAN FOOD OUTREACH: In the spirit of the Holy Month of Ramadan, the law marker reach out to his Muslim constituents in the best way that he could through the distribution of two thousand two hundred (2,000) bags of 25kg rice.

Hon. Abdullahi congratulates Tinubu, Bago on their anniversaries in office

The member representing Kontagora/Wushishi/Mariga/Mashegu Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives and Chairman House Committee on Aviation, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Idris Garba (Jagaban Kontagora), has congratulated both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) and Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago (The Farmer Governor) on their first-year in office respectively.

Abdullahi in his congratulatory message to mark May 29, 2023, the day President Tinubu and Governor Bago were inaugurated to their respective offices for their first terms, said both have kept faith with the people.

“The President has been doing a great job ever since he assumed office in 2023.

“Today, in the areas of insecurity, economy and war against corruption, the country may not be where it should be, but it has certainly left where it was ever since the assumption of power by our beloved party of the All Progressive Congress Party (APC) as Mr. President continue from where his predecessor stopped a year ago.

“Your purposeful leadership in the last one year has steered the country in the right direction,” the serving member said.

As serving member of the Green Chambers, Hon. Abdullahi acknowledged the challenges faced by the administration but lauded the resilience and determination displayed in tackling them head-on. Eid-el-Fitr: Hon. Abdullahi urges prayers for leaders and sustainable peace in Nigeria

The member representing Kontagora/Wushishi/Mariga/Mashegu Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives has called on his constituents, Nigerltes and fellow Nigerians to continue to pray for their leaders as well as sustainable peace and security in the country.

He gave the charge in a statement issued by his information officer in Kontagora, Hon.Bashar Atake, on Friday, before performing the Juma’at prayers in Abuja.

Hon. Abdullahi urged the Muslim Ummah to reflect on the good lessons of Ramadan.

While wishing the Muslim Umma a peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration, he expressed his gratitude to his constituents especially his supporters for their support and prayers for the Tinubu administration.

The member also urged Nigerian to continue to pray for their leaders at every level for God’s continued guidance and wisdom to enable them to continue to discharge their duties justly and diligently.

He urged Nigerians to extend good virtues of sharing, love, support, forgiveness and sacrifice for the betterment of mankind and Nigeria.

Hon. Abdullahi felicitates with President Tinubu on his 72nd birthday

The member representing Kontagora/Wushishi/Mariga/Mashegu Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Idris Garba (Jagaban Kontagora) has felicitated the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Ahmed Bola Tinubu (GCFR) on the occasion of his 72nd birthday.

In a congratulatory message personally signed by him, Hon. Abdullahi extolled the President in his continued contribution to national development and growth.

Easter: Pray For Peace And Unity, Hon. Abdullahi Urges Christians

The member representing Kontagora/Wushishi/Mariga/Mashegu Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Idris Garba (Jagaban Kontagora) has congratulated Christians from his constituency and across the world a happy Easter celebrations which symbolise the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In a message from his Media Office in Abuja, Hon. Abdullahi urged Christians to pray for peace, security, sustainable development, and unity in the country as well as among the citizens.

He urged Christians to return to the teachings of Jesus Christ who as ‘the reason for the season’ represents religious tolerance, peaceful co-existence, good faith, truth, demonstration of the fear of and belief in God, empathy for the less privileged, and patriotism to one’s country.

“It is not just a mere coincidence that while the Lent fasting was on, the Muslim Ramadan also commenced and this translates to a very substantial percentage of the national population fasting in the past 19 days. This is a design by Almighty God to teach us the lesson that no matter how we worship Him, whatever language we adopt in worshipping Him, or what name we call Him, we are all creations of one God.

“Therefore, we should all live, work and aspire together as brothers and sisters in the interest of our dear country, demonstrate the fear of God in all we do, and develop our country for the benefit of all. Rep. Abdullahi Idris Garba - AIG sends Christmas message to Nigerians

The member representing Kontagora/Wushishi/Mariga/Mashegu Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Idris Garba (Jagaban Kontagora), has felicitated with Christian faithful and all Nigerians as they celebrate the Christmas and New Year festivities.

Hon. Abdullahi, in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity and forwarded to Gulmawuya, lauded Nigerians for their resilience in the face of the challenges facing the nation.

He urged them to pray for improvement in the social, political and economic condition of the country in the New Year.

The Chairman House Committee on Aviation also called on Nigerians to make it part of their New Year resolutions to play their constitutional roles by ensuring peace, unity and progress of our nation.

Hon. Abdullahi said all hands must be on deck as citizens of Nigeria to ensure that they all play their vital role in fostering the economic development of Nigeria.
