Nollywood Actor Zack Orji in critical condition in the ICU of the National Hospital in Abuja.

" I was also posted to Enugu. So a friend of mine visited me and she came along with her boyfriend who also came along with my husband. That was how we met and it was love at first sight. I think people frown at love at first sight but it worked for us.

I fell in love with his broad shoulders. Then he was really looking very cute. I can still remember what he was wearing that day – a red shirt, long sleeves and jeans trousers. That was 37 years ago. He couldn’t even take me out because he didn’t have money as a youth corper. It was quite magnetic and that was it.

There is a 3-year age difference between us. I am older than him anyway. I was like 25 then while he was 22. It was love that really endured. I had graduated and in my place (Owerri) when a girl graduates from the University suitors come from left, right and centre. And your parents would expect you to go for a made man with everything, but I have always known that there was no way I could have married a self-made man. I will better build a home from the scratch with you because I want to have a say in my home"

I witnessed a thing like this yesterday (December 17, 2023) at Parklane New Born Unit.

We brought a day old child that requires oxygen.

But it was unfortunate that the doctor on duty told us that there is no oxygen head available, hence she will not accept the child for admission because we referred from another hospital.

She told us that the only way she can admit the baby is if we can buy oxygen head.

She has to suggest we should go to UNTH with the child as she believed that UNTH has more hospital equipment than Parklane.

I immediately contacted my brother in-law in medicine line and he sent me someone's number.

I had to call the number to know how much the oxygen head is being sold.

Luckily, someone in the hospital premises overheard me complaining and asked me what the problem was.

After explaining our ordeal to the young man, he took pity on us and took me to his unit (dialysis unit) where he got two oxygen head and took them to the New Born Unit for their use.

In getting to the New Born, the recipient doctor asked the young man where he got the oxygen head from and he answered.

I became disappointed when the doctor started asking the young that she hope that he will not be coming soon to ask for that oxygen head.

The services we received there was really heartbreaking 💔.

It was unfortunate that the baby died few hours later. 😭😭

Honestly, many people in medicine line do not deserve that noble profession.

Many studied medicine for fame, not to save lives.

Unfortunately, our governments have failed us completely.

Let me not talk about our brothers in the business of selling fake drugs.
