PERFECTION IN A WIFE?

Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Al-Uthaymeen [رحمه الله] said:

❝Indeed many husbands want their wives to be perfect. This matter is not possible, so due to that husbands fall into worry and concern and are incapable of enjoyment and delight with their wives, and perhaps this could lead to divorce.

Just like the Messenger [ﷺ] said:

«وإن ذهبت تقيمها كسرتها وكسرها طلاقها.»

'If you tried to straighten her you would break her, and breaking her is divorcing her.'

Therefore, it is necessary for the husband to be easy going and overlook everything that a wife does as long as it does not contradict the Deen or nobility.❞

AS-SALAAM: THE GIFT OF PEACE IN EVERY GREETING

"Peace!" shall be the greeting from the Merciful Lord." (Qur'an, 36:58)

When we say As-salaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, many of us do so out of habit, without fully appreciating the deep meaning behind this beautiful greeting. But take a moment to think about it—what are we really saying? What does As-Salaam mean, and why do we need it so much in our lives?

As-Salaam is one of Allah’s beautiful names, meaning the Source of all peace, safety, and tranquility. Every moment of calm we enjoy in life—whether it’s in our hearts, our homes, or our communities—comes from Allah, As-Salaam. Yet, how often do we stop to recognize this? We only seem to notice the importance of peace when it’s gone. Think of the times when your heart was troubled, when fear or anxiety overwhelmed you, or when chaos took over your surroundings. Those moments remind us just how precious peace is and how much we rely on Allah to restore it.

When we greet someone with As-salaamu alaykum, we’re doing more than just saying "hello." We are making a heartfelt prayer: "May Allah’s peace and safety be upon you." It’s a wish for them to have inner calm, protection from harm, and a life free from anxiety and fear. This prayer connects us to Allah, reminding us that real peace doesn’t come from wealth, power, or anything material—it comes only from Him.

The beauty of this greeting is that it’s universal. Even if you’re talking to just one person, you say alaykum, using the plural form. Why? Because this peace isn’t just for the individual—it’s for their loved ones, their home, and their entire life. It’s a way of spreading peace far and wide, connecting us as a community and showing that we care about each other in every way.

So, the next time you say As-salaamu alaykum, take a moment to reflect on what you’re truly saying. You’re not just offering a polite phrase—you’re giving someone a gift of peace, rooted in the name of Allah, As-Salaam. It’s a reminder of how much we all need His peace in our lives and how we can share that peace with those around us.

Let’s make this greeting meaningful, not just words we repeat, but a prayer we feel in our hearts. Because in today’s world, where so many are struggling with fear, anxiety, and uncertainty, we all need the peace and protection of As-Salaam more than ever.

CONTROVERSIAL BUDDHIST MONK JAILED FOR INSULTING ISLAM.

A hardline Sri Lankan monk who is a close ally of ousted former president Gotabaya Rajapaksa, has been sentenced to nine months in prison for insulting Islam and inciting religious hatred.

Galagodaatte Gnanasara was convicted on Thursday for the remarks, which date back to 2016.

Sri Lanka rarely convicts Buddhist monks, but this marks the second time that Gnanasara, who has repeatedly been accused of hate crimes and anti-Muslim violence, has been jailed.

The sentence, handed down by the Colombo Magistrate's Court, comes after a presidential pardon he received in 2019 for a six-year sentence related to intimidation and contempt of court.

Gnanasara was arrested in December for remarks he made during a 2016 media conference, where he made several derogatory remarks against Islam.

On Thursday, the court said that all citizens, regardless of religion, are entitled to the freedom of belief under the Constitution.

He was also given a fine of 1,500 Sri Lankan rupees ($5; £4). Failure to pay the fine would result in an additional month of imprisonment, the court's ruling added.

Gnanasara has filed an appeal against the sentence. The court rejected a request from his lawyers to free him on bail until a final judgment was made on the appeal.

BEING KIND TO DEBTORS WHO IS FACING FINANCIAL CHALLENGES.

ALLĀH commands creditors to be patient with debtors who are having a hard time financially,

وَإِن كَانَ ذُو عُسْرَةٍ فَنَظِرَةٌ إِلَى مَيْسَرَةٍ
(And If it is difficult for someone to repay a debt, postpone it until a time of ease.)

During the time of Jahiliyyah, when the debt came to term, the creditor would say to the debtor, "Either pay now or interest will be added to the debt."

ALLĀH encouraged creditors to give debtors respite regarding their debts and promised all that is good, and a great reward from HIM for this righteous deed,

وَأَن تَصَدَّقُواْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
(And if you waive it as an act of charity, it will be better for you, if only you knew.),

meaning, if you forfeit your debts and cancel them completely.

Imam Ahmad recorded that Sulayman bin Buraydah said that his father said,

'I heard the Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ say,

"Whoever gives time to a debtor facing hard times, will gain charity of equal proportions for each day he gives."'...

Ahmad recorded that Muhammad bin Kab Al-Qurazi said that;

Abu Qatadah had a debt on a man, who used to hide from Abu Qatadah when he looked for him to pay what he owed him. One day, Abu Qatadah came looking for the debtor and a young boy came out, and he asked him about the debtor and found out that he was in the house eating.

Abu Qatadah said in a loud voice, "O Fellow! Come out, for I was told that you are in the house."

The man came out and Abu Qatadah asked him, "Why are you hiding from me?"

The man said, "I am having a hard time financially, and I do not have any money."

Abu Qatadah said, "By ALLĀH, are you truly facing a hard time?"

He said, "Yes."

Abu Qatadah cried and said, "I heard the Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ say,

"Whoever gives time to his debtor, or forgives the debt, will be in the shade of the Throne (of ALLĀH) on the Day of Resurrection."

Muslim also recorded this Hadith in his Sahih.

Al-Hafiz Abu Yala Al-Mawsili recorded that Hudhayfah said that the Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ said,

"On the Day of Resurrection, one of ALLAH'S servants will be summoned before HIM and HE will ask him, "What deeds did you perform for ME in your life?"

He will say, "O Lord! In my life, I have not performed a deed for YOUR sake that equals an atom," three times.

The third time, the servant will add, "O Lord! You granted me wealth and I used to be a merchant. I used to be lenient, giving easy terms to those well-off and giving time to the debtors who faced hard times."

ALLĀH will say, "I Am the Most Worthy of giving easy terms. Therefore, enter Paradise."

An Unconventional Hajj Journey: Arc. Bashir Yusuf AL-Ameen's Inspiring Plan

In a remarkable display of devotion and adventure, Arc Bashir AL-Ameen , presenter of Ebira Sunnah TV's "Know Your Deen" Program, has announced an audacious plan to embark on the Hajj pilgrimage by motorcycle. Taking to Facebook, he shared his intention, saying, "My mind is telling me to go Mecca (Hajj) with bike." With humility, he added, "Allah knows best."

He further explained that this idea wasn't for personal gain or online engagement, but a genuine aspiration. The idea struck him on Friday while riding his motorcycle from Okene to Abuja. "I so much love it," he confessed, "because it's for Allah's sake." He concluded with a heartfelt prayer: "May Allah actualize it for me and other brothers with like minds. Ameen."
