NNPP National Chairman commiserates with the People of Anambra, Katsina, Nasarawa, Rivers, Bayelsa, Kogi, and Jigawa over the incidence of flash floods in their respective states.

_Appeals to Nigerians to remain calm and join NNPP in prayers for victims._

We are saddened by the news of the multiple numbers of flash floods coming out of Anambra, Katsina, Nasarawa, Rivers, Bayelsa, Kogi, and Jigawa States respectively. They are not just numbers but represent the numbers of homes, communities, schools, and livelihoods that are currently underwater at the moment.

The effects of the flooding in the 7 states are a testament to the disastrous effects of climate change, drainage blockades, and unchecked human activities around coastal areas. We urge the federal government to elevate the breakout of the natural disaster to a national emergency, start paying more attention to flood-prone regions in the country, commence the construction of terraces on hillsides around the coastal areas to slow flow downhill, encourage farming and construct floodways that will divert the floodwater to farmlands in each of the respective states.

We appeal to Nigerians whose businesses and daily activities have been affected by the impact of the floods to remain calm and support the government as they find alternate solutions to blocked road networks and other inhibitions that have risen as a result of the sad incidences. Let us rally around the good people of these 7 states as they start attempting to rebuild their homes and lives. They need all the love we can give right now.

The national leadership of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), our Presidential Candidate Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, his running mate Bishop Isaac Idahosa, and all the State Chapters of our great party offer their heartfelt condolences to the people who have lost friends, families, loved ones, homes, and means of livelihood to the flash floods caused by heavy rains that have hit Anambra, Katsina, Nasarawa, Rivers, Bayelsa, Kogi, and Jigawa in a shocking manner and destroyed a shocking number of towns and communities.

Our prayers are with the families of the victims and those who are still missing due to the natural disaster. Please, accept our heartfelt condolences and sympathies. We pray for their early recovery.

NNPP Strategizes ahead of the 2023 General Elections; Calls on Nigerians to rally around the party on the Journey to Rebuild Nigeria.

The National Leadership of the New Nigeria Peoples Party - led by the National Chairman, Professor Rufa’i Ahmed Alkali and the Chairmen of all State Chapters of the party met in Abuja to appraise the party’s national elections campaign framework. The 5-hour long meeting session ended with the following resolutions:

1. The New Nigeria Peoples Party acknowledges the importance of the role of women in the stability of our country’s fragile yet relentless democracy. We are glad and grateful for the overwhelming support they have been giving the party. NNPP also commends the various Youth support groups for their support as it prepares for elections in 2023. Your participation is a testament to the possibility of a New Nigeria that is about to be birthed by the NNPP’s Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso in next year's general elections.

2. We are aware of the frantic attempts by opposition parties to muzzle the rising popularity of our great party NNPP and her Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. The Party appreciates your fears as you should rightfully be, but our ascension cannot be daunted by frivolous machinations. NNPP implores you to join it in efforts to restore Nigeria to its rightful position because NNPP needs all hands on deck as we continue to embark on the mission of rescuing Nigeria.

3. Contrary to the malicious rumor in circulation by opponents of our great party, NNPP will contest all available seats in the Executive and Legislative arms of our Government all over Nigeria. Our Presidential Candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is a strong contender in the 2023 presidential elections. NNPP urges Nigerians to disregard any rumours about Senator Kwankwaso stepping-down. Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is in the race to win and will never step down for anyone, not today and not in the future.

4. NNPP wishes to reiterate that Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is the most qualified Presidential Candidate for the 2023 General Election, both in terms of educational versatility and his impeccable public service record. He passed through the Nigerian educational curriculum, obtained his first degree and Ph.D. in Water Engineering, and joined the Kano State Water Resources and Engineering Construction Agency where he rose to the position of Principal (Water) Engineer before making his entry into politics where he served At various levels of governance, leaving undeniable achievements to his legacy. His excellent achievements in Kano state know no rivalry to date. He is the only Presidential contender prepared with the wherewithal to secure and advance the wheels of progress and development in Nigeria.

Finally, the meeting stated emphatically that the NNPP is well-equipped for the arduous journey to restore our great nation Nigeria. The leadership of the party under the able navigation of the National Chairman; Professor Rufa’i Ahmed Alkali is waxing stronger by the day. The meeting therefore passed a vote of confidence in the leadership of the party under the leadership of the Party underage leadership of Prof. Rufa’i Ahmed Alkali. The position of our great party is hinged on the care for human life and happiness, not their exploitation and extinction because NNPP believes that this is the first and only legitimate object of any good and innovative government. Therefore, we are maintaining that the worth of every state through its governments is the worth of its citizens. We again call on Nigerians to join the NNPP and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso in our eternal quest to ensure that all Nigerian are counted worthy in the country they call home.
