HADITH OF THE DAY

Process of Funeral Prayer in the light of Sahih Ahadith
---------------------------------
---------------------------------

1. Funeral prayer has four takbir
Narrated Abu Huraira radi allahu anhu Allah's Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam informed about the news of the death of An-Najash on the day he died. He went out with us to the Musalla and we aligned in rows and he said four Takbirs for An-Najashi's funeral prayer.
Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 2, Book 23, Hadith 417

2. Pronounce the first Takbir and recite Surah fatiha :
It was narrated that Abu Umamah radi allahu anhu said:
"Its Sunnah, when offering the funeral prayer, is to recite Umm Al-Quran (Surah Al fatiha) quietly in the first Takbir'
Sunan Nasaii, Vol. 3, Book 21, 1991-Sahih

3. Pronounce the second Takbir and recite Durud e Ibrahim :
Allahumma salli ala-Muhammad wa ala aal-e-Muhammad, k**a salayta ala Ibrahim wa ala aal-e-Ibrahim innaka Hameed-um-Majeed; Allahumma barik ala Muhammad wa ala Aal-e-Muhammad, k**a barakta ala Ibrahim wa ala aal-e-Ibrahim innaka Hameed-um-Majeed.

4. Pronounce the third Takbir and recite below dua :
It was narrated from Abu Ibrahim Al-Ansari, from his father radi allahu anhuma that:
he heard the Prophet Sallallahu alaihi wasallam said, when offering the funeral prayer for one who had died:
Allahummighfir lihayyina wa mayyitina wa shahidina wa gha'ibina wadhakarina wa unthana wa saghirina wa kabirina
(O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, those who are present among us and those who are absent, our males and our females, our young and our old).
Sunan Nasaii, Book 21, 1988-Sahih

5. After completing this dua (supplication), pronounce the fourth Takbir and Say Taslim(Salam on right side) immediately after pronouncing fourth Takbir.

THE PROPHET'S MARRIAGE

👉 Part ONE

By the time Muhammad (pbuh) was twenty-five he was famous for his
honesty. He was respected by everyone, even the elders of Mecca.
The purity of his nature increased with the years. It seemed he had an inner knowledge that other people did not have. He believed in one God Creator of the world-and he worshipped Him with all his heart and with all his soul. Muhammad (pbuh) was the finest of his people, the most kind, truthful and reliable person in Mecca. He was known among Quraysh as 'the trustworthy' (al-Amin) because of the good qualities Allah had given him. He spent many quiet hours in a cave in Mount Hira, not far from Mecca, thinking about Allah. Among Quraysh was a respected and wealthy woman named Khadijah. She was involved in trade and on hearing of Mohammed‟s reputation, sent for him and asked him to take her goods and trade with them in Syria Muhammad (pbuh) agreed and left for Syria with one of Khadijah's caravans. With him went her slave, Maysarah, and they spent a great deal of time talking together.
Maysarah soon came to admire Muhammad (pbuh). He thought he was quite different from all the other men of Quraysh.
Two unusual events took place during this journey which puzzled Maysarah very much. The first happened when they stopped to rest near the lonely home of a monk. Muhammad (pbuh) sat under a tree while Maysarah was busy with some work. The monk came up to Maysarah
and asked, 'Who is the man resting under the tree?' 'One of Quraysh, the people who guard the Ka‟bah', said Maysarah. 'No one but a Prophet is
sitting beneath this tree', replied the monk. The second event occurred on the journey back to Mecca. It happened at noon, when the sun is at its hottest. Maysarah was riding behind Muhammad (pbuh) and as the sun grew hotter he saw two angels appear above Muhammad (pbuh) and
shield him from the sun's harmful rays. The trading was very successful
and Muhammad (pbuh) made more profit for Khadijah than she had ever received before.
When they arrived back in Mecca Maysarah told Khadijah everything
about the trip and what he had noticed about Mohammed‟s character and behavior.
Khadijah was a widow in her forties and as well as being rich and
highly respected she was also very beautiful.

👉 PART TWO

Many men wanted to marry her but none of them suited her. When
she met Muhammad (pbuh), however, she thought he was very special.
She sent a friend to ask Muhammad (pbuh) why he was not married.
Muhammad (pbuh) said that it was because he had no money, to which
the friend replied: 'Supposing a rich, beautiful and noble lady agreed tomarry you?' Muhammad (pbuh) wanted to know who that could be.
The friend told him it was Khadijah. Muhammad (pbuh) was very happy,
because he greatly respected Khadijah. He went with his uncles, Abu Talib and Hamzah, to Khadijah's uncle, and asked his permission to
marry her. The uncle gave his permission and soon after, Muhammad
(pbuh) and Khadijah were married.
Their marriage was a joyful one and Muhammad (pbuh) and Khadijah
were well suited. Their life together, however, was not without some
sadness. They were blessed with six children, two sons and four
daughters. Sadly their first born, a son called Qasim, died shortly before
his second birthday, and their last child, also a son, only lived for a short
time. Happily, their four daughters-Zaynab, Ruqayyah, Umm Kulthum,
and Fatimah-all survived.
For a few years Muhammad (pbuh) lived a calm and quiet life as a merchant in Mecca. His wisdom benefited many people. One such time
was when Quraysh decided to rebuild the Ka‟bah. It was a difficult decision for them because they had to knock it down before rebuilding it
and the people were afraid that Allah might be angry with them for
knocking down His sanctuary. At last one of the wise old men of Quraysh decided to begin, then everybody followed him. They worked until they
reached down to the first foundation that Abraham had built. As soon as
they began to remove the stones of this foundation, however, the whole of Mecca began to shake.

What Husband and wife should do for each other To create a happy family.❤️

Sisters, Whenever your husband is returning home, the moment he enters the house, as a wife, halt whatever you are doing immediately:

-If you are on a call, end it.
-If you are surfing the net, drop the phone.
-If you are on a chat, suspend it.
-If you have visitors, leave them and walk up to your husband.
-Whatever chore you are doing, abandon it, if it can't be abandoned, say something positive.
-If you are in an online live event, suspend it.
-If you are watching TV, abandon it.

For indeed, your husband is your king and if a king enters his palace, it's not befitting that he shouldn't be welcomed, so hurry up to welcome your king, collect his brief case/load, sit him down, switch on the fan/AC for him, clean the sweat on his forehead, collect his car/bike keys from him and place them on the table, remove his shoes and socks, prepare the bathroom for his bath and serve his meal.

Brothers, Whenever your wife is returning home from work or the market too, whatever it is you are doing, suspend it if possible:

-Collect the load from her.
-Give her a warm hug.
-Give her a kiss or a peck.
-Shake hands with her.
-Remove her Hijab or Niqab.

For indeed, the Prophet salallahu alayhi wassalam used to welcome even His daughter Fatima radiAllahu anha by walking up to meet her, kissing her and making her sit in his place.

All these and more will make your wife feel relieved and cherished, it will make her forget the stress she passed through out there.

It's an act of disregard for your husband to return home, and you keep doing whatever you are doing, for you never can tell what he passed throughout there while hustling for the family.

As long as we refuse to implement these 'little' things in our lives, many marriages will not stand the test of time, for its the combination of stones that makes a mountain and droplets of water makes an ocean.

May our homes be rectified. Ameen 🤲

I was very very hungry since morning

President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a critical message to the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership and stakeholders regarding the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party's presidential candidate. In a statement issued by his media aide, Garba Shehu, the president urged all APC members to rally around Tinubu and support him in the run-up to the 2023 general elections.

He acknowledged that there were disagreements and internal wranglings before and during the presidential primary, but that now that the election is over, unity is the best way forward.

According to him, the APC remains the best political platform for achieving Nigeria's collective dreams, and this can be accomplished when all ranks within the party unite.

Buhari said in a statement obtained by Channels TV, "During the Primaries, there were factions and disagreements among the contestants, and now that the process has concluded, we must build a united front in our party." As a result, the APC will continue to be the party that can best deliver on the needs of the Nigerian people. It is now time to finish the process.

4 Northern Christians Who Could Emerge As Tinubu’s Running Mate https://ift.tt/bahAMSV

After emerging as the flagbearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will now select his running mate for the 2023 presidential election (APC). According to the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) guidelines, presidential candidates must choose their running mates by midnight on Thursday, June 9.

There are already rumours within the APC that Tinubu will settle for a northern Christian, especially since most Nigerians, particularly in the south, have voiced strong opposition to a Muslim-Muslim ticket.

If Tinubu decides to settle for a northern Christian, four names are likely to be considered.

1. Hon. Yakubu Dogara Bauchi-born Dogara is a former Speaker of the House of Representatives. He is seen as a strong politician in northern Nigeria, especially with the way northern lawmakers rallied round him in 2015 even with the party hierarchy rooting for Hon Femi Gbajabiamila at the time. Dogara, 54, fits the bill for a popular, politically relevant, and vibrant running mate to a much older Tinubu.

2. Boss Mustapha Many say he is likely to be selected because his relationship with Tinubu dates back to their days in the Social Democratic Party in 1992. Mustapha, 66, is the current Secretary to the Government of the Federation. He is a lawyer and boardroom guru from Adamawa state in the northeast region. He is highly respected within the APC and wields a lot of influence among powerbrokers in the party.

3. Rt. Hon Simon Lalong Perhaps the most experienced among the potential running mates because of his executive and legislative background, Lalong, 59, is the current executive governor of Plateau and was previously the Speaker of the state's House of Assembly. He is also the current chairman of the Northern Governors Forum. However, there are doubts about his popularity in the north. But, his candidacy might be backed by his colleagues, especially as they are now a strong and influential bloc within the ruling party.

4. Babachir Lawal Lawal is a former Secretary of the Government of the Federation. The 67-year-old Adamawa-born politician is a strong ally of Tinubu and he has been an associate of the former Lagos state governor for decades. His relationship with Tinubu might pave the way for him to clinch the position, but his limited popularity, coupled with his anti-graft case currently in court, might affect his chances.

The Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU) Ikoyi, Lagos State, has arrested Ibadan-based businessman, Bukola Odeleye for alleged N816 million fraud.

The spokesperson, SP Eyitayo Johnson said the suspect is the MD/CEO of BEEDEL Strategic Investment Company.

Johnson, in a statement on Tuesday, disclosed that Odeleye was arrested on May 24, after weeks of discrete investigation.

He was nabbed for alleged forgery of 11 Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) of five multinational companies and one federal agency.

The police said Odeleye paraded himself on social media as a successful contractor in Civil Engineering/Construction, Real Estate and Supply/Importation of Heavy Engineering Equipment.

The BEEDEL boss allegedly operated in connivance with former and current procurement staff of the companies whose LPOs were used to perpetuate the fraud.

The PSFU said with forged LPOs of companies and the government, he approached banks and investment companies with proposal to finance the LPOs.

“He cleverly tenured to be paid between 30-60 days, to make the LPO financing appear juicy.

“The suspect was able to fraudulently obtain the sum of N816 million from two finance companies,” the police said.

The police noted that he diverted same to fund “extravagant lifestyles which includes building a mansion, office complex and purchase of exotic automobiles.

“He uses money from one bank, finance company to settle his commitments to another bank/finance company, to maintain the fraudulent cycle of robbing Peter to pay Paul.”

The PSFU added that Odeleye would be charged to court as soon as investigation was concluded.

It was gathered that the Department of State Services (DSS) first arrested the businessman in March.

Odeleye put up construction adverts across Ibadan, the Oyo capital, but no major development on the sites yet.

The suspect built his office on Ade-Oyo Hospital Road and mounted boards at the Ososami/Iyana Ade Oyo jucntion which showed him as a contractor.

Chinedu Nwajiuba, the younger brother of former minister of state for education and All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant Emeka Nwajiuba, has explained why his elder brother was not present at the APC convention currently taking place at Eagle Square in Abuja. The younger Nwajiuba stated that his brother did not attend the APC convention because he felt betrayed by the ruling party's leadership.

He revealed this in a statement released last night, Tuesday, June 8, and obtained by Legit.ng. When aspirants were mounting the podium, the masters of ceremony called Nwajiuba's name several times to come out and address the APC convention, but he was not available.

"Many friends are calling to find out why my brother, Dr. Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, did not come out to address the APC convention," said part of the statement. Simple. Prior to his involvement, and considering his role in the founding of the APC, the understanding at the highest levels was one of consensus, as it was with the national chairmanship a few months ago. With that agreement, the presidential ticket was to tour the south and southeast."

"Until the end of the negotiations, this was the hope." He is convinced that what Nigeria needs now is not more of the same thing that has kept Nigeria at its current low level. He does not want to be a part of the Dollar and Naira bazaar.

"Our country's challenges cannot be addressed at the same energy level that created them."

Rotimi Amaechi, a former transportation minister in Nigeria, was involved in a heated argument on Wednesday, June 8, at the Eagle Square in Abuja, the site of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election. According to the Daily Trust, Amaechi, who is also a presidential candidate in 2023, got into an argument with some political party agents at the event arena.

According to the report, the minister was seen and heard raising his voice while speaking with the agents about an issue.

While the exact cause of the argument is unknown, a large crowd gathered to watch and listen in on the minister's conversation with the agents.

When Amaechi noticed the growing crowd, he walked away from the scene, while some of his supporters for his presidential bid formed a circle around the agents.

The results of the recently completed 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination have been released by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.

The examination body made this known in a statement signed on Saturday in Abuja by its Head, Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, who also outlined the process for checking the results.

"To check the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination result, all a candidate needs to do is simply send UTMERESULT to 55019 using the same phone number that he/she had used for registration, and the result would be returned as a text message," according to the statement made available to The PUNCH.

"For the time being, this is the only way to check the 2022 UTME results because the Board has not uploaded them to its website for obvious reasons."

"In addition, candidates are warned that, as is customary, they will receive a slew of messages from desperate fraudsters on how to check their results that differ from the aforementioned one." As a result, the Board advises all candidates to disregard all such messages on how to check their 2022 UTME results, as they are all products of deception intended to mislead them."
