Yesterday 31st December, 2024, the Executive Chairman of Onicha Local Government Area alongside the stakeholders and good people of Onicha on a Christmas homage to His Excellency, Sen. Dave Nweze Umahi, at his country home in Uburu, Ohaozara Local Government Area.The visit aimed to express heartfelt gratitude for his exceptional leadership and transformative achievements at both the state and federal levels. His unwavering dedication to infrastructural development has not only repositioned Ebonyi State on the world map but has also fostered economic growth, improved connectivity, and enhanced the overall quality of life for the people.The delegation commended Sen. Umahi for his visionary projects, including landmark road constructions, flyovers, and the establishment of modern facilities that have made Ebonyi a model of progress and innovation in the region.The Executive Chairman, speaking, reaffirmed the unwavering support and solidarity of OHANIVO and Onicha Local Government precisely, pledging continued collaboration towards sustaining the developmental strides championed by Sen. Umahi.In response, Sen. David Nweze Umahi commended the Executive Chairman of Onicha LGA, Hon. Iyke Prince , for his outstanding performance and remarkable achievements within a few months in office. He further applauded the Executive Chairman for making him and Ohanivo proud through his accomplishments, noting that God has used him to restructure Onicha for greater progress. "As a father, I am so proud of you," he stated.Sen. Umahi also reaffirmed his full support for Governor Nwifuru’s second tenure, emphasizing that no power or opposition will hinder its success. *NEW YEAR MESSAGE FROM HON. OGBOFIA IKECHUKWU*

Dear Good People of Onicha,

The year 2024 has been a time of great achievement, remarkable progress, and renewed hope for us in Onicha Local Government and Nigeria at large.

I am deeply grateful to God Almighty and to you all for your unwavering support, resilience, and unity that have defined this past year. Together, we have navigated challenges, embraced opportunities, and laid the foundation for greater development.

As your Executive Chairman, I am committed to fostering inclusive governance that prioritizes the welfare of every citizen, strengthens our community, and promotes sustainable development. Our administration is dedicated to building a culture of efficient service delivery, accountability, and shared responsibility that will drive Onicha LGA forward.

In 2025, we will consolidate our efforts and embark on new projects that address security, education, primary healthcare, rural development, and infrastructural growth. We recognize the vital role of youth empowerment, economic development, and job creation in shaping a brighter future for Onicha.

I call on all of us to reflect on the progress we have made and to continue to work together in unity and love. Let us embrace the values of peace, compassion, and selflessness, and support one another as we strive to build a local government that serves and uplifts all.
