*FOCUS ON GOD*

_“Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee”. Jeremiah 32:17._

*MESSAGE*
Focus on God; do not focus on your problem. Notice in the fourth chapter of Acts of Apostle, the Apostles had been beaten and threatened not to preach anymore. They came back to their own company and told them *“Man we really had a bad time today! They threatened us not to speak in the name of Jesus again”* so they agreed. *“Let’s pray”* then they began their prayers, *“Lord you are God (this is what Jeremiah is saying here) You made heaven and earth and sea, all that is in them”* they were getting things into perspective.

I am calling on God to help me. I am not trying to figure out the way to get out of the mess for the God I am calling upon created the universe. The one I am calling upon to help me is a God of signs and wonders, I dare not dictate to Him for He knows the end from the beginning.

It is good to come to this kind of consciousness in prayer; it’s a great faith builder. When you focus on God, your faith grows, when you focus on your problem, your faith departs. *“Lord you are so great; you keep your words”.* In *verses 17-22,* Jeremiah has given us a good example of prayer. Note also that when Jesus was to teach His disciples to pray, He said *“Pray: Our Father in heaven hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” And only then get into petition “give us this day our daily bread”* but the focus in prayer is always on God.

*ACTION POINT*
🖋️ Do not allow anything to shift your focus away from God.

*SCRIPTURES*
Jeremiah 32:17, 22; Acts 4:24; Matthew 6: 9-11.

*PRAYER POINTS*
1. O Lord, help me never to shift my focus away from you in the name of Jesus;

2. Father, give me the grace to recognise you always for whom you are in the name of Jesus;

3. Lord, let the miracle, signs and wonders purpose for my life happen without further delay in the name of Jesus;

4. Father, let my faith in You continue to grow in the name of Jesus.
