In my experience speaking on different stages, either as a compere or as a speaker, here’s one thing I’ve noticed;

There are always two people in any audience. The one that keeps smiling at you, laughing at your sense of humor and nodding at your words, and the one that keeps a straight face. Doesn’t smile, keeps mum when you makes jokes and makes you doubt if you are doing great job.

Here’s a simple hack I use to boost my performance : I focus on the former. If you focus on the later, your nerves kick in and because you start doubting your abilities, your lack of confidence shows in your performance.
This happens unconsciously and keeps getting worse.

But if you focus on the person smiling at you and cheering you on, your confidence level increases and this shows in your performance. Because you believe you are doing a great job, you actually do a great job.

For the later, you may not be the problem. That might just be their persona or have absolutely nothing to do with you.

So don’t let them get to you. Focus on who gives you that boost and wow them even more.

Imagine spending time and money to organize an event only to have it disorganized on the D-day because you didn’t book a professional to drive the seamless flow of your program while giving a top notch experience to your audience.

I tell people this:

The duty of the event host isn’t to call people on stage. It’s much more than that.

Our duty is to make sure you deliver on your promise to your audience. Your promise of a transformative experience through the delivery of the different event components.

So as you intentionally plan your event, be intentional about your compere as well.

Don’t make it a last minute decision where you choose to go with anyone as your anchor.

So have an event coming up?
Book the one host that will give your event that professional touch.

Details for bookings are on the flyer.

I look forward to doing business with you.

How strong is your social capital as a brand?

Do you have people you can turn to for support or you can support?

See,

You can’t build an influential brand solo. You’ve got to connect with people and build relationships.

You can do this on physically or virtually, so there’s no excuse.

It’s almost weekend again, do you have a networking plan?

Do you have a list of events you can go to?

Do you have names of people you want to be connected with?

Have you sent out connection requests to specific people on LinkedIn?

Unless you want to build an average brand, you’ve got to be deliberate about this.

You know why?

Because the opportunities you need for your next level are with people. So unless you know how to get them, they will be given to people who may not be as good as you but are connected to people who have them.

I'm super excited to announce the launch of my podcast dedicated to experienced Executives and Professionals who want to strategically amplify their works and voices to attract their desired opportunities.

As a Personal Branding Strategist, I have over the years worked with different individuals accross different sectors and one thing I've discovered is that there are a lot of hidden gems the world hasn't discovered yet.

A lot of people who are putting in the work, super good at what they do but are not visible enough to attract the kind of opportunities they deserve.

This is why late last year, I decided I would be working with experienced Executives and Professionals who want to position themselves as the go-to authority in their field and get the recognition and opportunities they deserve.

This has informed my messaging as a brand and has inspired this podcast.

Subscription to this podcast is going to be different.

While I share the release of each episode on my social media handles, I also want to have an effective channel that serves as feedback from you.

Your feedback will also inspire more episodes.

So to subscribe, please click the link in the comments and you will receive:

- The release of each episode straight into your inbox

- The opportunity to ask any questions you have concerning your Personal Brand

- Access to some other resources I have that will solve your problems.

Are you ready?

Let's do this ❤️

One of the strategies I utilize to help my clients attract global opportunities is aligning the impact of their brand to the 'United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals

This is not a tip you will get anywhere else.

Several global organisations are looking to recognize and empower individuals and organisations putting in their quota to achieve any of the UN 17 SDGs.

So if you are able to tie the impact of what you do as a brand, to any of them, you are well on your way to attracting these global opportunities and increasing your chances when you pitch.

So a quick exercise

- Go study all UN 17 SDGs and their targets.

- Take a critical look at the impact of your work - emphasis on the IMPACT not work.

- Check which is more aligned to any of the SDGs and marry them together.

- Include it in your full profile (The profile you use for pitches or speaking engagement)

- Find a way to measure the impact of your work. (I'll probably have to talk about measurable impact some day).

Like I said, this is not a tip you'll get anywhere else so don't be stingy, share to your friends ❤️

Let me tell you something about maintaining relationships with highly successful people.

The truth is, as you get closer the people you look up to and idolize, you will find out that they are not as perfect as you think they are.

They have their flaws and this makes them human.

But do you understand this?

You must because it is this understanding that helps you maintain the respect you have for them instead of 'seeing them finish'

Your ability to take in their flaws and not let it put a dent to the cautious nature you relate to them with.

Your ability to understand that they are not perfect and that doesn't in anyway reduce your admiration for them.

Your ability to still keep your relationship with them sacred no matter how many mistakes they seem to still make.

That's how to maintain a relationship with your idols, mentors, role models and everyone else you look up to

Another is TRUST.

I can't stress this enough.

They love people they can trust and can share stuffs with without hearing it again from a third party.

You don't even need to create content around everything your role model/mentor tells you in a conversation..... Well this is an entirely different conversation altogether

I have more from where this is coming from but I'll let these sink in first.

It takes a lot of Wisdom to maintain these kinds of relationship and I'm certain you've gotten some here..

Over last weekend, I had the pleasure of co-hosting the Emerging Leaders Conference organized by 'Guardians of the Nation International' , GOTNI.

In line with its mission to raise transformed leaders, this conference was designed to initiate the birth of dynamic entrepreneurial leaders accross different sectors.

As the speakers and panelists spoke in line with the theme, 'Entrepreneurship and Intrepreneurship for Organisational and Personal Growth', I enjoyed the expressions of the participants as they willingly soaked in the value delivered

One of my many highlights was the beautiful reviews I received from the participants and my co-host as they commended how well I delivered as a compere.

I particularly loved the beam of smiles on the organizer's face as she hugged and appreciated me for a job well done.

As a Compere, these are moments I look forward to because it speaks of how well I've honed my craft over the years.

Definitely looking forward to hosting more life changing events across the world.

For bookings please send an email to [email protected]

These are the moments we live for ✨

The early stages of building your Personal Brand is similar to bootstrapping.

You're going to spend a lot of money building your brand's identity and for some time, there will be no money coming in.....yet.

This is why as a Personal Branding Strategist, I work only with professionals who have an existing flow of sustainable income and are not so intent on making money with their Personal Brand that they have no patience.

This eliminates desperation when you are ready to monetize your brand because you know that is not your only source of income.

Trust me, people can smell desperation in your sales copies and as a brand, you should never come off that way.

So have this at the back of your mind that the early stages of your brand is going to take a lot from you.

Your money, time, and efforts, and the worse part?

You may get only little results.

But keep at it because it's only a matter of consistency before your harvest comes.

But while keeping at it, have a source of income you can always rely on.

Could be your job or business.

Then keep at it till your Personal Brand is able to pay your bills while leaving some extra change.

A few days ago, I spent quality time with 2 highly successful men.

Dr. Eruani Azibapu CFR, President, Azikel Group and Dr. Linus Okorie MFR, President, GOTNI Leadership Centre

The wisdom and depth to which my questions were answered served as a reminder to one of the several reasons I'm building my career in Communications.

It's simple - To tell the origin stories of Successful Africans.

I even have a name for it 'Africans With Stories'.

The goal was simple, change the African narrative, one story at a time.

Inspire Africans through Africans.

Document these stories for posterity.

And build an admirable perception of Africa to Non-Africans.

As Africans, we are very daring and resilient people with lots of interesting stories to tell.

And I want this to be the first thing people remember when the think of Africa.

So I'm dusting the pages to which I wrote my thoughts about this and turning the words to reality.

But that, I cannot do alone.

So if you share the same vision and passion I have, why don't we work together?

We need

- Writers
- Editors
- Designers
- Photo & Videographers
- Video editors

And any other skill that you think is relevant to this cause though not mentioned.

Please note that this is an impact project highly driven by the vision and passion so if you aren't ready to commit, please don't send a message.

But if you are, kindly send a WhatsApp message to 09073079211 introducing yourself and in what capacity you can volunteer

To the African's Dream ✨

Stop letting trends define your brand!

So because you think the new thing is doing tiktok videos where you are dancing or doing doing certain things you ordinarily wouldn't do and you decide you are going to do it?

You start recording videos doing those things and within you, you know you that this is out of character for you. But because it's the trend now, you decide to go with it.

You jump on every trend that comes up to show people you are in the 'know' but the truth is that you may be showing your audience that your Personal Brand doesn't have an identity of it's own.

It doesn't have a standards and aren't aligned to defined values or character.

Who says you have to use every new sound that comes out on tiktok?

Who says you have to join every trend?

Who says you can't just record a one minute video of you talking creatively about what you do without dancing akwardly?

Why are you making your brand look like it doesn't have a mind of it's own??

The truth is that many times, your audience can tell when your brand is out of character or when you are doing something that isn't you.

You don't have to prove anything to anybody.

You don't have to prove you are trendy.

The trends come and go but your brand will always be here so stand firm on what your standards are and if you must join a trend, make sure to tweak it to stay aligned to what you stand for.
