Supreme Court to Rule on Fresh Suit Seeking Tinubu’s Disqualification on Monday

The Supreme Court will on Monday, December 16, deliver judgment on a new suit challenging the legitimacy of President Bola Tinubu's administration.

The case, with suit number SC/CV/667/2023, seeks Tinubu’s disqualification on two key grounds: alleged non-qualification to hold the office of president and purported unlawful occupation of the position.

The suit was filed by Chief Ambrose Albert Owuru, a former presidential candidate of the Hope Democratic Party (HDP) in the 2019 election.

Among the respondents named in the case are former President Muhammadu Buhari, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and President Tinubu.

Owuru, a British-trained lawyer, claims he won the 2019 presidential election but was denied his mandate due to Buhari's eight-year tenure. He alleges that a previous suit he filed against Buhari’s presidency was dismissed by the Supreme Court because of a scheduling error.

In this new suit, Owuru is also calling for Tinubu's disqualification, citing allegations of a $460,000 forfeiture to the U.S. government over alleged dr*g trafficking and claims that Tinubu is an active CIA agent, which he argues disqualifies him from holding public office in Nigeria.

Owuru is urging the Supreme Court to declare him the rightful winner of the 2019 election, disqualify Tinubu, and order his immediate swearing-in as president to reclaim his mandate.

The Supreme Court has fixed a definite hearing for Monday, December 16, and Tinubu has been duly notified of the proceedings through the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice.

For those of us unfamiliar with the meaning of colors on plate numbers, PLEASE PAY ATTENTION

The plate number that is lettered in BLUE indicates a private owned vehicle.

While the RED lettered plate number indicates a vehicle used for commercial purpose.

Then the GREEN lettered plate number shows that the vehicle is government owned and is used by government officials.

Lastly, the BLACK lettered plate numbers are for members of the Armed Forces, that is, the Military/Paramilitary etc

So from the colour of a vehicle's plate number, you can easily tell the purpose of the vehicle.
