CHIMA ANYASO FOUNDATION CONDOLES WITH HER FOUNDER, DR. CHIMA ANYASO, OVER THE DEMISE OF HIS FATHER-IN-LAW

The Board of Trustees and entire members of the CHIMA ANYASO FOUNDATION have sent a message of comfort to their founder and the incoming Governor of Abia State, Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso and family over the demise of his father-in-law and foremost Senator of the Federal Republic, Chief Senator Francis Arthur Nzeribe, who slept in the Lord two days ago at the age of 84 years.

The group particularly commiserated with Dr. Anyaso's wife, Mrs. Adanna Anyaso over this unfortunate incident, noting that the relationship that always exists between a father and his daughter makes it difficult to bear the pains of death any time it occurs but expressed confidence that God would give Mrs. Anyaso and indeed the entire Chima Desmond Anyaso's family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

The CHIMA ANYASO FOUNDATION, therefore, urged Dr. Anyaso to take solace in the fact that his late father-in-law lived a fulfilled life and contributed greatly to the development of Nigeria and enjoined him to accept their sincere condolences while praying that the soul of the departed rest in perfect peace.

Breaking : Obi Cubana Arrested By EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a socialite Obinna Iyiegbu, better known as Obi Cubana.

Obi Cubana is being questioned at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja. He arrived at the EFCC office around noon on Monday.

Although details of allegations against the Anambra-born tycoon are still sketchy, a source said that his case borders on alleged money laundering and tax fraud.

When contacted, the spokesman of the Commission, Wilson Uwujaren said he was yet to be briefed on the development.

Earlier in the year, Obi Cubana made headlines and trended on social media following a lavish burial ceremony for his late mother in the South East state.

His meteoric rise to fame has also seen him feature in comedy skits

Dead but not forgotten.

Olubayo Adefemi (13 August 1985 – 18 April 2011)

Adefemi started his career at Bendel Insurance before joining Delta Force in 2002. He moved to Isreal in 2004 and spent four years playing top flight football at Hapoel Jerusalem, Hapoel Tel Aviv, Hakoah Ramat and Hapoel Bnei Lod.

Adefemi was part of the Nigeria's U20 team at the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship in Netherlands, he scored in the penalty shootout in a breathtaking 10-9 win over Netherlands in the Quarterfinals. His second goal in that tournament was in a 3-0 thrashing of Morocco in the Semi-finals. The team ended the tournament with a silver medal in a controversial 2-1 loss to Argentina.

Adefemi was also a crucial member of the U23 Nigeria team at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in China. He scored the opener in a 4-1 win over Belgium in the Semi-final. Sadly, the team yet again lost to Argentina in the final.

He also played for Rapid Bucureṣti 🇹🇩, SCR Altach 🇦🇹 and Boulogne 🇫🇷 respectively before signing for Skoda Xanthi 🇬🇷 in the summer of 2010.

On April 18, 2011 Adefemi was driving to the airport on Egnatia Odos, near the city of Kavala, Greece to catch a flight to Nigeria in preparation for his wedding but he never made it to the airport. His car skid off the road and crashed into an highway pole. He was pronounced dead on the spot. He was only 25 years old at the time.
