Exciting News! β¨ Just signed off on a new wage and substantive agreement between Namibia Airports Company Limited (NAC) and the Namibia Public Workers Union (NAPWU). π€πΌ Thrilled to announce a 7.5% inflationary salary increase effective from April 1, 2023, for the financial year 2023/2024. πStay tuned for further updates on performance bonuses, pension fund contributions, and more during stakeholder engagement meetings. COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT
Dear NAPWU Members and the Public,
We are delighted to share the positive outcome of recent negotiations between the Government of the Republic of Namibia (GRN), Namibia National Teachers Union (NANTU), and Namibia Public Workers Union (NAPWU). This comprehensive agreement, signed on the 16th of November 2023, reflects the commitment of all parties to enhance the well-being of our valued civil servants.
Highlights of the Agreement:
Benefits Adjustment for 2023/2024 Financial Year:
Significant increases in the maximum qualifying loan amounts under the Home Ownersβ Scheme for Staff Members (HOSSM).
Alignment of Housing Allowance for management cadre to achieve parity.
20% increase on Housing Allowance for non-management staff.
20% increase on Transport Allowance for non-management staff.
8% increase on Motor Vehicle Allowance (capital and running costs) for management staff.
Salary Adjustment for 2024/2025 Financial Year:
A flat increase of N$600 per month for staff members on Grades 15 and 14 from April 1, 2024.
5% increase on the basic salary of staff members on Grades 13 to 1 from April 1, 2024.
Kilometer Rate:
Acknowledgment that the "kilometer rate" is a compensatory allowance and will not be part of future negotiations.
Benchmarking Study on Medical Aid and Housing:
Agreement to undertake a comparative study on best practices for housing and medical aid provision.

We are thrilled to announce that an important Collective Wage Agreement has been reached between ST' PAUL COLLEGE NAMIBIA and NAMIBIA PUBLIC WORKERS UNION for the financial year 2023/24.
Here are the much-anticipated wage increases for our valued members:
For those earning less than N$10,000, you'll enjoy an 8% increase in your current basic salary.
If your salary falls between N$10,000 and N$20,000, get ready for a 7% boost to your current basic salary.
Employees earning above N$20,000 will see a 6% increase in their current basic salary.
This agreement is a testament to our commitment to fair compensation for our dedicated employees. It goes into effect on January 1, 2024.
We appreciate the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in these negotiations. This is a significant step forward for our college and its wonderful staff.
NAPWU and NUST signs a substantive agreement

For NPTH Employees: πΌ
A whopping 6.7% increase in basic salaries across the board.
Housing loan qualifying amount now up by 50,000 Namibian dollars for everyone.
Monthly housing allowance boosted by 900 Namibian dollars.
Transport allowance for those not in the car scheme increased by 220, making it 2,880 Namibian dollars.
ITC benefits rose by 290 Namibian dollars, reaching 2,570 monthly.
The game-changer - Medical aid now covered 100% across the board! π₯

A fantastic 4% salary hike for all, even contract workers, effective from October 1, 2022, to September 30, 2023.
