FNB Unam raced to a 52-14 lead at halftime of their last home match of the season against FNB Reho Falcon on Saturday, scoring 45 unanswered points before the visitors finally got a word in.
With less successful kicking at posts after Aljarreau Zaahl left the field, Unam's scoring rate slowed down in the second 40 minutes, leading to the final result at 74-35.
Although Falcon tried valiantly to redeem themselves and ended up with five tries (against 12 for the log leaders), there was going to be no repeat of their 21-17 shock win against Unam at Dr Lemmer school field in the first round.
