Oshela Senior Secondary School has raised N$38,900 for the construction of the school's boundary wall.

School principal Simon Kaukungwa Shilongo who is a former learner at the school said the funds were needed for the construction of the school's boundary wall because the current school fence is damaged and, as a result, animals like goats, pigs and dogs roam freely in the school yard.

Moreover the school is situated alongside the Elundu - Rundu main road, which has caused disruption to teaching and learning from time to time.

The funds were raised through the staffs, friends, family members, and acquaintances prior to the the school’s reunion and gala dinner and was then handed over as funds from Oshela staffs and friends during the event that took place on the 23 August 2024.

During the event, participants who were mainly former learners and former teachers, and their families gave cash donations and pledged, a combined total of both cash received and cash pledged stood at 96 000.

Shilongo expressed gratitude to all that contributed and welcomed those who are yet to do so.

This is the problem we Northern journalists have when it comes to covering national events. Got here at Heroes day at Omuthiya but was removed from taking pictures because I did not get accredited and my media card is of no use. Veteran journalist, Veteran of the liberation struggle but can't take photos on Heroes day. Lol. This is what former journalists Mathias Nanghanda and Oswald Shivute had to endure for many years.

On TK Mbumba's Award by TK Pohamba
To me the State is the most important entity in my life. There are many who sacrifice their lives toward the creation of what is no independent Namibia. So I get very upset when politicians who are their temporarily try to abuse the rules of the state. Nangolo Mbumba was apparently awarded the Most Ancient Order of Welwitchia Mirabilis the highest national award by Second President Hifikepunye Pohamba during presidency and on 3rd August 2024 Acting President Nangolo was then given the award in almost 10years later at State House.
First of all I would like to know whose idea this was. I know it was not the idea of nether Pohamba or Mbumba. In 2014, the following are some of the 395 individuals then President Pohamba gave national award to. Mbumba’s name is not there. The highest award given was The Most Brilliant Order of the Sun: First Class awarded as shown. Are we now saying Mbumba deserved the highest award than those listed? (SG,VP of Swapo by death and National Acting President by death). Or the citizen Pohamba can add another category to his awards of 2014 in 2024? Are what it looks like in my view, Acting President Mbumba awarded the highest national award to himself.
These are the awards usual only talked about the funerals but in 28 August 2014,President Hifikepunye Pohamba conferred national honours on individuals who significantly contributed to the liberation of Namibia through political, military, education, health, media, reconstruction and development. Police warn parents, caregivers not to leave children alone with cattle herders
By Anna Shinana

15 July 2024

The police in the Ohangwena region have warned parents and guardians not to leave children alone with cattle herders, following reports of r**e.

The warning was issued after a domestic worker (22) was arrested in connection with the r**e of a girl (2) at Ohamwiimbi village over the weekend.

The toddler’s aunt allegedly left her alone with the worker.

The police say there have been several reports of people from some neighbouring countries employed as domestic help allegedly committing crimes such as r**e and afterwards fleeing back to their countries to avoid arrest.

The region’s acting regional commander, Bennett Muyambango, says: “It is a real concern to know that cases of r**e are reported every day, and we carry out community awareness exercises on crime, but people still don’t take the necessary care to protect their children.”

Muyambango says many families in the northern regions employ herders from neighbouring countries as cattle herders and domestic workers, trusting them with children.

“We have findings that most of the r**e crimes committed are by the very people they have employed, and we don’t arrest them as they flee to Angola, only to return and get employed elsewhere,” he says.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has apologized to his Conservative colleagues who lost their seats, in a speech acknowledging the crushing defeat his party suffered in Thursday's election.

“The Labour Party has won this general election… the British people have delivered a sobering verdict tonight,” Sunak said in a speech lasting less than two minutes on Friday morning, as exit polls and early results projected the opposition had won more than 400 out of 650 seats in parliament.

Sunak refused to answer questions, but indicated that he would not step down as an MP, promising his North Yorkshire constituents that he would continue to “serve as your member of parliament,” spending more time with them in the “week, months and years to come.”

Sunak called the Labour leader Keir Starmer to congratulate him on his victory, before traveling to London, where he is expected to “say more about tonight’s result.”

I been very much against this Green Hydrogen Scam. GRN wants to risk the future of our children. Thus think will never work and Namibian and their supporting companies are only interested in getting their money through commissions. Below is article from Namibian Sun.

OIL REVENUE USED AS GUARANTEE FOR GREEN HYDROGEN LOANS – REPORT
Jemima Beukes
14 HOURS AGO - 2024-06-25 00:10:00
Namibia is allegedly planning to use its projected oil revenue as collateral to secure loans from the international money market to fund its portion of the development of local green hydrogen projects.

This is according to an Institute of Public Policy Research (IPPR) report that explored the risks associated with the expectation that Namibia should give an unknown level of loan guarantees for the project.

Hyphen Hydrogen Energy has agreed to a deal with Namibia for the next phase of a US$10 billion (about N$181 billion) green hydrogen project that will export to Europe once complete. The costing of this project, according to the IPPR, depends on a bankable feasibility study that is being kept under lock and key, with Hyphen and the government insisting it is too confidential to be made public.

“The only way in which the government could obtain such large loans from the international money market is by leveraging its future oil revenues, as Mozambique has done in the fisheries sector. Indeed, there have been indications from government sources that this is precisely how the government intends to fund the loan guarantees needed for the development of green hydrogen projects,” the report read.

“This, in turn, raises the question of whether the government has chosen an appropriate development partner for such a large, new and risky venture,” the IPPR wanted to know.

Hyphen joint venture

It has also cast light on Hyphen’s joint venture with the South African subsidiary of German transnational firm Enertrag (49%), which is a relatively large but new renewable energy producer, and Nicholas Holdings (51%), a completely unknown entity in this field.

The report argued that even Enertrag, with its 800 employees and total sales of N$5 billion, is not of sufficient enough girth to fund the N$180 billion Hyphen project.

Nor are the two firms large enough to attract bank loans sufficient to undertake such a project, with IPPR pointing out that Hyphen has not hidden the fact that it is looking for a strategic partner. Recently, it was reported that Nicholas Holdings was trying to sell an unspecified stake in Hyphen to one of the oil and gas majors for N$3 billion.

“The outcome of the negotiations is unknown. Assuming these reports to be correct, it is a development that is to be applauded. For the Lüderitz project to reach fruition, it will require a far more substantial strategic partner or for the current owners to sell the firm in its entirety to a major energy firm. If this proposed divestment by Hyphen’s owners is a positive development, then one needs to ask why the government of Namibia chose these tenderers in the first place rather than much larger firms like Sasol and Fortescue.”

Risks

IPPR also mentioned that a NamPower study identified important commercial and economic risks emanating from the Hyphen project. The most significant being the risk of not being able to make a business case and procure enough off-take agreements from buyers in Europe and Asia.

“No bank or group of banks will fund such a large project without legal proof that there are buyers for the final product at a known price. That will mean that Hyphen and the government will have to provide evidence of legal memoranda for the purchase of the ammonia/hydrogen produced at Lüderitz,,” the report stated.

It is also noted that given that hydrogen is a commodity, the main factors will be the price of the product and whether it can be sold in markets like Rotterdam, adding that the project is likely to collapse if the price is uncompetitive.

“Fortunately, Namibia can get out of its 24% stake in the project once the studies are completed if it is found to be sub-economic. However, there are also very substantial political risks involved in the commencement of such a new industry. The first is that the green hydrogen industry - which has caused so many sub-Saharan African countries to study the matter, but only six have started to implement - is dependent entirely upon subsidies from developed countries which claim that they are committed to decarbonisation and fighting climate change.”

I see that judges are not independent they are afraid for their jobs just like everybody else. If your minister, you boss is gay, of course you as a judge will rule in favour of yourJustice minister, your boss. This is what has been happening in Namibia.
The courts decision is not only against all the values of the Namiban and African majority, it is an embarrasment to the Namibian justice system. It allows an unaturaul s*xual act and it says all you Namibians, as tax payers must pay for the concern individual to allow him get fu**ed in the a**s. It is amazing that the justice minister's whole term being paid by taxpayers money is to legalize homos*xuality, in our language we say 'okwa tumwa'. However, for some of us, it is all about money. There is millions of US dollars being exchanged under the table giving by very poweful and rich european individuals and countries to promote their agenda in Namibia.

age of consent

Something that we do no talk about

'In Namibia, the age of consent is 16 years old, with a three-year exemption for those who are close in age. However, the law also considers girls under 12 and boys under 7 too young to give meaningful consent to s*xual in*******se. Additionally, s*xual contact with girls under 16 is considered "statutory r**e" and is illegal, regardless of consent. This means that someone who is 20 years old could be charged with statutory r**e for having s*x with a 16-year-old.

Namibian needs a leader who will make GRN make service delivery to the people instead of GRN making service delivery only to GRN employees
It is an election year. I think what Namibia need is a president to make our government for the people instead of a government for GRN employees which we have currently and has had for the last 20 or so years. This is why no matter who becomes president the situation of ordinary Namibia has been get worse after each election.
I have posted before that presidents, prime minister, minster and deputy minister and most of all political appointees have just been cosmetic decorations in GRN without having any significant impacts in the various ministries which they have been assigned to as the real powers are with directors, deputy directors, head of departments, tender boards etc. Politicians come and go but those people stay and are the actual wheels of GRN. If they incompetent, nothing happens to them, if they are corrupt, nothing happens to them, if they are unpatriotic nothing happen to them, they basically got their jobs for life whether they delivered services to the people or not. When a politician minister is making noise, they sit and wait a few years and that minister if transferred of lost out in an election.
This is why the ruling party is in a problem. Its GRN employees have been busy delivering services to themselves instead to the people they are supposed to serve. Most of tenders and projects meant for ordinary people end up being taken up by these GRN employees in some shape and form nationally and locally even such basic services such as drought relief. This is why some of the ruling parties policies many of which have been noble, have never been implemented.
Now some are saying ok if we get in a new government it will get better. Well, it depends, it might even get worse.
Every entity set for the ordinary citizens such as settlement farms, SME Bank, DBN, and Agribank, fish quotas, EPL and other mining licences GRN employees are benefiting instead. GRN employees are giving themselves education bursaries instead of the many youth who really need them. Local and constituency councillors take the available land themselves instead of those who really need it. And again it is the former GRN employees upon retiring taking up paid positions as senior traditional leaders. Even the NICC is controlled by CEO of GRN parastatals instead of business leaders in the private sector.
So GRN employees who already get 85% of the national budget are suffocating and sucking up the remainder of the available resources meant for the ordinary people. This is why the nation getting poorer and poor. We need a president to change how the wheels of government are run to the benefit of the ordinary people. The last president (RIP) and his government failed completely. We need a bold leader to say either you are in government or in the private sector, you can’t be both. This is my challenge to the political candidates whomever they will be as currently none has been registered by ECN.

There are people saying that Me Netumbo somehow collapsed at Saturdays Omagongo Festival at Onambango, King’s Palace, Ondonga Kingdom. I don’t know where those people got there info as some of us were there and we did not see such a happening. I don’t know why someone can fabricate such a lie. However, for those who saw it, maybe they took a photo, please posts it. If you want to see beautiful dressed northern Namibians, go to any Omagongo festival. In fact they should have a most dressed competition Tate/Tatekulu, Meme/Meekulu Omagongo.
On a serious note of the many omagongo festivals I have attended, which are many, I never seen the President, the Vice President and the Prime Minister at such a festival. I know that this is an election year, but such a traditional event shouldn’t be hijacked by GRN. Also there was no message from the governor and to downgrade the PM, head of government to basically drought relief lady, in front of thousands of people (unless it was a campaign tactic, ouch!
For those who make traditional Oshiwambo attire, I got some possible clients for you; Bishop Nambala, Dr Itula and Isp. Gen Shikongo. Of course, the rest of photos (lots) as well as all what took place will be included in later edition of Otweya, for those who like to read. Photos by me, permission to copy.

It turns out that one of the convicted killers Kevan Townsend father is Roger Bonds, was actually P Diddy/Puff Daddy real name Shawn Comb’s chief bodyguard from 2003-2012! Informanté June 21, 2019 had an article titled ‘Father of American murder accused wants trial broadcasted internationally’ and accompanying photo is attached but at that time there was no connection between Roger Bond and P Diddy.
This to me puts the question why Kevan Townsend Marcus Thomas can all the way to our country Namibia to come and kill Andre Heckmair (25). In 2030 they were sentenced to 27 years' imprisonment on a charge of murder, and a four-year prison term on a count of robbery. Judge said they had no remorse.
Their crime had cause me some sleepless nights because I knew that there was no way that an black American would come all the way to Africa to come and kill someone over drugs or over a woman. It just did not make sense.
Also at the beginning of the trial, the boys were just cocky and arrogant as if they knew whoever send them got money and they would be out of jail at no time to go enjoy their money for the hit.
Also during their long trail with some cases pending still, they had no trouble paying their lawyer. There was no problem with money. Even when Marcus Thomas tried to escape am sure money changed hands with some prison officials.
So my guys are that the killing of Andre Heckmair by Kevan Townsend and Marcus Thomas by might have something to do with or might be somehow linked to P Diddy. This will make sense.
Now Roger Bonds this week started to talk bad about his former boss P Diddy. You can check his interview of about 2 days ago on Piers Morgan Uncensored: https://youtu.be/LLezY3KzGJY?t=41
“He's A King Manip**ator” P Diddy’s Bodyguard Makes Explosive New Claims.
Remember that Kevan Townsend Marcus Thomas were even saying that they were innocent as the Namibian police had planted evidence.
P Diddy is alleged to have made some people who had information on his illegal activities disappear. Also Kevan Townsend father Roger Bonds has a criminal history. Among other he also had murdered a man and was sent to prison. Roger Bonds has also been saying a lot of s**t about our country listen to him on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Q-o6QDXGlw, Roger Bonds on Son's M***er Trial in Africa Lasting 6 Yrs, Pleading w/ U.S. Embassy

Roger Bonds Son is Wrongfully Accused - This Story Will Shock You.
Some of us will be waiting for him to visit his son in prison so we can f**k him up. That is if he is not jailed with P Diddy as an accomplice in his illegal activities. This might seem small news in Namibia but it is big in America. For example Star of Star of the youtube channel; https://youtu.be/hel1-a_6fE4

The Star Report in his video ‘Daddy’s former Head of Security is now snitching on everybody’, mentioned Roger Bonds son in jail in ‘Africa’ for life.
So, if someone in the America somehow makes this connection than we will see some serious drama heading our way as the killers in our prisons might be witnesses in P Diddy case in America if or when it goes to trial.
