Minister of Sports, Youth and National Services, Agnes Tjongarero, officiated the groundbreaking ceremony for the Northern Namibia High Performance Sports Centre (NNHPSC) also known as the Ondangwa Sports Stadium.
The stadium will offer a wide range of services to cater to the needs of athletes, sports teams, and organisations such as a state of the art fitness centre equipped with cutting edge equipment, a sports stadium built to meet the needs of world athletes and FIFA standards, conference and meeting rooms that can be used for sports-related workshops, seminars, and other events.
The stadium has a capacity of hosting around 7,000 people.
