Feisk Productions is an independent film company based in Malaysia. Some of their films include 'Ceroboh' (Netflix), 'Kabus' (Astro) and 'Bilik Tepi' (Viu).

Formed in 2010, the brothers-run production company began by producing wedding videos, reality TV shows before venturing into short films and feature films. In 2022, they won the 'Best Short Film' award for 'CAN YOU LOVE ME MOST?' at Festival Filem Malaysia.

2024. A year of steadying our ship and navigating beyond our boundaries.

We began this year wrapping post production for our films THIS LAND OF MINE, TAFAKUR and ANGKAT.

The early part of the year was spent preparing our venture into film distribution, focussing on smaller independent local films.

In July, we successfully crowdfunded THE TIDES WILL DECIDE, a feature documentary, with 92 backers.

The month of August saw us producing a small indie feature, WRITERS (working title), by an emerging filmmaker.

In September, we ran a flashmob marketing campaign for the promo of TAFAKUR, which saw an army of ‘Kiyahs’ (a character from the film) make an appearance at the Keretapi Sarong event. The film had its World Premiere at Pesta Filem Kota Bharu followed by a limited theatrical release. It also screened at Mindanao Film Festival.

It was a busy month as Minikino Film Week invited us to Bali, where our short film, TAUHU SUMBAT screened.

From October, some of our reality show titles became available on Viu Malaysia, such as KAMPUNG QUEST and TRAILSEEKERS.

PARLOUR, a project in early development, was invited by Busan Film Council for the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea. Our 6 days were filled with meetings during the day and social events during the nights.

In late October, THIS LAND OF MINE made its World Premiere at Ngilngig Asian Fantastic Festival in Davao, Philippines. We were thrilled to present it to an international audience. This was followed by a limited theatrical release in November.

For contributors of the crowdfunded documentary, we had a private cinema screening alongside industry friends and fellow filmmakers. We also funded RED AND WHITE, a short film by ASWARA students.

To close the year in December, it was a bonus to have our film, TALI KASUT, nominated as Best Short Film for Festival Filem Malaysia. We also travelled to Luang Prabang, Laos, for the World Premiere of ANGKAT at Blue Chair film festival. This beautiful event by the Mekong river capped off such a wonderful year for us.

It has been an incredible year.

ANGKAT had its World Premiere at Blue Chair film festival in Laos on 7th Dec.

The festival took place in the World Heritage picturesque town of Luang Prabang, along the cosy main street, lined with cafes, bars and shops. Wedged in between the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers, it is one of the most beautiful film festivals in the region.

We are so happy with the positive feedback and very proud to have shared a Malaysian story to a packed crowd. Thank you, Blue Chair, for having us!

Our Story

Every passionate endeavor can be traced back to a spark or a calling and ours can be traced back to when we were 8 / 9 years old. My name is Iskander and my brother, Feisal and I have always been fascinated by film.

When we were the ages 8 / 9 years old, we used to cut out magazine ads of video cameras, paste them on cardboard and then go around pretending we were film makers shooting an epic movie. It was not till a few years later that we were handed our dad’s old camera which we then went around filming things. These were the days of the mini VHS tapes!

In December 2010, we founded Feisk Productions, specialising in event videography and corporate videos. We have been fortunate to capture personal videos for couples wanting to tell their love story to the world in the form of ‘How We Met’ videos.

Our passion for video led us to our next adventure, Kampung Quest, a reality show where Urbanites are placed in the Great Outdoors and have to compete in Physical, Mental and Social Quests. To date, four seasons of Kampung Quest have been produced.
