Pleased to be informed that the Majlis Penerbitan Ilmiah Malaysa (MAPIM) in collaboration with the National Book Council of Malaysia (MBKM) will organize the "Siri Bengkel Sekolah Perbukuan" Workshop Series in conjunction with the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair 2024 which will be held from 24th May until 2nd June 2024 at World Trade Center, Kuala Lumpur.

All are invited to join this publishing training program together.

Venue: Redang Seminar Room / Sabah Seminar Room, World Trade Center, Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL)

International Publishing Data 2023 is a report published as a result of a collaboration between Nielsen BookData and the International Publishers Association (IPA).

Among other things, this report analyzes the global publishing market, as well as focusing on the markets of a country, including Malaysia. The data collected covers industry structures, demographics, digital inclusion, schools and higher education, enrollment and public policy.

In a recently released report for the Malaysian market, IIUM Press is ranked among the 5 most prominent publishers (Prominent Book Publishers & Retailers) in the Higher Education Book Publisher category. The other four publishers are USM Publisher, Pearson, McGraw Hill and Sunway University Press.

[HEBAHAN]: MAJLIS ANUGERAH MAPIM-KPT KE-14

Majlis Penerbitan Ilmiah Malaysia (MAPIM) dengan kerjasama Jabatan Pendidikan Tinggi akan menganjurkan Majlis Anugerah MAPIM-KPT Kali ke-14 pada 22 Disember 2023 pukul 9.00 pagi di Dewan Za’ba Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi. Majlis Anugerah ini akan dirasmikan oleh YBrs. Prof. Dr. Azlinda binti Azman, Ketua Pengarah Pendidikan Tinggi dan dihadiri oleh 200 jemputan termasuk Timbalan Ketua Pengarah Pendidikan Tinggi, Pengerusi MAPIM, Timbalan-Timbalan Naib Canselor, Pengarah/ Ketua Penerbit, para penerima anugerah dan wakil-wakil Penerbit yang menganggotai MAPIM.

Anugerah MAPIM-KPT ini diadakan bertujuan untuk mengiktiraf dan menghargai sumbangan dan usaha karyawan dalam menghasilkan karya akademik ilmiah yang cemerlang. Ini juga sebagai usaha penggalakan kepada lebih ramai penyelidik, sarjana dan ilmuan untuk mendokumentasikan hasil sarjana dalam bentuk penerbitan ilmiah imprin MAPIM. Anugerah telah diwujudkan sejak 2007 ini, terbuka kepada semua penerbitan yang diterbitkan oleh ahli-ahli MAPIM yang kini mempunyai keanggotaan sebanyak 29 penerbit.

Seramai 70 orang penerima Anugerah Utama dan Anugerah Penghargaan yang merangkumi 18 kategori bagi tahun 2021 dan 2022. Antara kategori tersebut adalah buku ilmiah terbaik, makalah jurnal terbaik, editor naskhah terbaik, ilmiah popular, karya suntingan terbaik dan reka bentuk buku terbaik bagi bidang Sains Sosial dan Kemanusiaan, dan Sains, Teknologi dan Perubatan.
