With semi-skilled workers currently making up 62.5% of Malaysia’s labor force, there is a push to increase the proportion of highly skilled workers to 45% by 2030. Graduates of STEM and TVET programs find it easier to secure employment, as they are equipped with critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovative skills. The global impact of technological advancements and crises like the Covid-19 pandemic has further highlighted the importance of these educational paths for the country’s workforce.
