The ‘Free Walk Kuala Lumpur Unscripted’ caught my attention. My brother and I decided to grab our cameras and went to check it out before the third lockdown.

We were delighted to be told by Jane Rai, our tour guide that we are only going to be walking for about 1km for the East-West Connection.

During the tour, we were experiencing the familiar part of KL but with the depth of history from a bygone era that was told in a unique way by Jane with her friendly and engaging personality.

We were happy that we’ve had the opportunity to be part of this remarkable walking tour. We felt that more people should be enjoying the stories of Old Kuala Lumpur just as we did.

So, we’re sharing this video that we made during the walk as a surprise gift for Jane and her dedicated team. We resonate with their passion for keeping KL’s heritage alive through storytelling. We hope to be on the other series of Old Kuala Lumpur walks soon.
