Watched BOGOTA ~ City of the Lost 😶‍🌫️

This Korean-Columbian collab film depicted how South Koreans migrated to Bogota & survived by smuggling Korean fashion goods with the hope of changing their lives during the Korean Financial Crisis of 1997. 🥷🏻🧥

The underground society of Bogota is not for the faint hearted, because even the most innocent person will morph into a devil in the face of money & power. 💰😈✊🏻

Dialogues were in Korean & Spanish. All the Korean actors spoke Spanish fluently, very impressive! 👏🏻

Read "In Order To Live" by Park Yeon-Mi. ✊🏻

This book chronicled the story of Yeon-Mi, a North Korean defector & human rights activist, from her childhood in Hyesan, dictatorial oppression on her family, harrowing escape from North Korea into China, being human trafficked & sexually abused, and fleeing into Mongolia by way of crossing the frigid Gobi Dessert before ultimately reaching South Korea 🇰🇷.

It is a difficult story for her to tell & for me to read, yet it is an important story. Though it sounds impossible in this lifetime, I hope that North Koreans will be liberated soon. 🙏🏻

Watched ONE CENT THIEF 🥷🏻🪙💻

This local drama is about a son trying to save his dying father by stealing 1 cent from every bank customer. 🏦

Although the story is comically heightened and you have to suspend your disbeliefs at times, it has good plot twists & is one of the better local dramas I have watched. 😂👍🏻

Waiting for Season 2 to come to Netflix soon! 😀📺

Watched "Tidying Up with Marie Kondo" & "Sparking Joy with Marie Kondo"!

These TV shows shared how Marie organized homes & work spaces using the KonMarie method. 🏠🗄️

It's delightful to see the live action version of Chibi Maruko-chan!! 😁

Joke aside, I feel that her tidying method may seem novel to Westerners, but it's actually pretty common for us Asian people (eg. Folding clothes & using boxes to compartmentalize different items of the same category). 📥👕📤

What's funny is : The show featured the clutter without DUST, the No. 1 challenge of tidying for people with allergies... 🤧

However, I do love the spiritual aspect of it like greeting the space, thanking your items before letting them go & how open spaces open our hearts too!!! 🙏🏻
