[捐血，救命]🩸

哥打马鲁都医院的这些地中海贫血患者大多靠着慈善组织的援助治疗，有时医院的医生和护士也自掏腰包资助，他们都来自贫困家庭。 他们大多数是儿童，甚至没有足够的资金来支付来医院接受治疗的费用。

由于自身条件的原因，他们面临着许多问题，比如血液供应不足，没有足够的资金购买对他们生存至关重要的便携式注射泵。 每个患者估计每月至少需要输血两次。 目前哥打马鲁都医院共有95名地中海贫血患者，这意味着每月至少需要190包血液。

医院里只剩下三台可操作的便携式注射泵，患者每天都需要使用它们来去除血液中多余的铁。 由于便携式注射泵的数量效率低下，大多数患者没有得到足够的治疗，这可能导致他们的寿命缩短至20多岁。 但如果得到适当的治疗，他们大多平均可以活到至少50岁以上。

您可以通过向哥打马鲁都医院献血、为便携式注射泵提供经济支持和/或捐赠用品来为拯救他们的生命发挥作用。

哥打马鲁都医院的医疗团队将于本月26日（星期日）在ITCC进行捐血活动。 快来献血，拯救生命。

These thalassemia patients at Hospital Kota Marudu, which are mostly supported by charitable organizations and sometimes the hospital's doctors and nurses support from their own pockets are all from poor families. Most of them are children and don't even have enough funds to pay for the fare to come to the hospital to receive treatment.

They face many problems due to their conditions, such as not enough blood supplies and not enough funds to buy portable syringe pumps which is crucial for their survival. Each patient needs estimate at least two blood transfusion per month. A total of 95 thalassemia patients at the moment means at least 190 pints of blood needed per month.

And there's only three operable units of portable syringe pumps left at the hospital, which the patients need to use daily to remove excess iron in their blood. Due to the inefficient number of portable syringe pumps, most patients are not getting adequate treatments which may cause shortening of their lifespan to below 20+ years. But with adequate treatment, they mostly can live an average of at least 50+ years above.

Help is much needed and appreciated, you can play a part in saving their life by donating blood to Hospital Kota Marudu, financial support for portable syringe pumps and /or by donating supplies.

The medical team from Hospital Kota Marudu is running a blood donating campaign this month on the 26th (Sunday) at ITCC. Come and donate blood to save lives.
