It is very normal to be self-critical, but when does it become so critical that your own thoughts impair what you are truly capable of? has achieved a lot in his life, but it did not come from nothing. He identified confidence as one of the key drivers of his success.

After getting rejected in a job interview at Virgin, he saw Richard Branson and contemplated whether he should approach him. He took the risk and struck up a conversation with him, thinking, “What have I got to lose?” As Richard Branson noticed something unique about Tony, the conversation continued, and eventually, Tony was offered a job at Virgin. At that point in time, Richard Branson was already an established business magnate, and Tony was a nobody.

Moral of the story? Eliminate negative thoughts and take the risk. You never know where you will end up.
