In a couple of weeks our short film 'On the border' will be projected in 'glorious' DCP inside this years edition of the International Film Festival The Hague, in The Netherlands, a country I am very fond of, as I lived there many years ago enjoying the Erasmus Scholarship.
It is such a joy to see the film still having some rounds around the world. Thanks to the festival programmers and to all the team that created this short that has been alive for so long, it seems we did a good job 🙂

Dentro de un par de semanas nuestro cortometraje 'En la frontera' será proyectado en 'glorioso' DCP en la última edición del International Film Festival The Hague, en La Haya, Holanda, país al que tengo un especial cariño, ya que residí allá con la beca Erasmus hace muchos años.
Qué alegría ver que esta película sigue teniendo su periplo por el mundo. Gracias al festival y a todo el equipo que creó este corto que sigue estando vivo después de tanto tiempo, parece que hicimos un buen trabajo 🙂

In a setting surrounded by constant news of violence, catastrophes and organized crime, good will and fear oppose each other when a woman watches her neighbours suspecting they are into some kind of trouble.
ARTURO M. MERELO is a director, producer, professor, playwright, and distributor from Spain who has made his career in Mexico. His short films have been selected in over 100 festivals worldwide, including Guanajuato and Oaxaca, Key West and Sunscreen (Florida), Santander (Colombia), Fringe Festival Edinburgh, Perth Independent Latino (Australia), and the European Cinematography Awards, and have won several awards.
Arturo holds a Masters in Communications/Cinema from Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca and has studied film directing, screenwriting and distribution with Mexican filmmakers Amat Escalante and Gibrán Portela. He has managed and staged his original works at the Microteatro in San Miguel de Allende and taught directing, narrative filmmaking, and world cinema history at the Universidad Descartes-Chiapas (UNAM affiliated).
