Imagination not only makes things possible for our agency but imagination makes us accountable for our choices. Because we see possible futures by imagining, our prescience gives us good reason to hold ourselves accountable. Even thinking forwards has the possibility of being an honest assessment of what might be. We are answerable for our choices because humanity can imagine the future results of our actions. We can see in our minds the likely destruction of poor choices. And we can see the creation of beautiful outcomes from wise decisions.
