today drama in the House of Representatives and the FDA says abortion pills can now be offered at retail pharmacies we've got all of that and more coming up and it all starts right now welcome to the news in Wyatt matters Happy New Year I am Sarah Gonzalez and it's been a while but we've dusted everything off including ourselves and we're going to try to uh to hit everything that we potentially miss while we were gone and here to join me doing that today is my best friend also host of the Chad Prather show Chad Prather I just want to know why you laughed my best friend because we're not best friends at all that is a television facade that everybody needs to see through those smoke and mirrors you and I are in a feud and I may be leaving the blaze I don't know we'll join the club I guess you know what I'm getting in the flow of this Mass Exodus I believe in this Egyptian slavery oh my gosh no moving on to a Jason buttrell treat researcher of the Glenn Beck program who warned me by walking on to my set and saying that he was sick and he sounded like crap it's gonna sound kind of funny we're off to a really good start today in the new year uh there was a lot that uh that happened and I felt like God okay so when we get back to the show we can just kind of catch up on all of the things that happened over Christmas before New Year's and now so many things have happened in the last 48 hours that I'm like well now we have to talk about that first so I forgot I don't remember I don't remember the first Kevin McCarthy vote much less than what's happening today well I think there's been six now as of as of the time of this taping of course that could change who knows how many votes they're going to try to get in in one day um there was what was their four yesterday was it four three yesterday and now this morning yeah so four five six today so who knows what the future holds and they're pretty consistent now there's no they're not they're not budging at all what's is it a Byron what's his name Byron Donald he's getting 20 votes pretty consistently yes so it's so it's group it's 20 Republicans as Jason mentioned voting for uh representative Byron Donalds who is from Florida uh 20 Patriots let's just say that thank you thank you and this is of course he was nominated by representative chip Roy who I would argue is there anyone better oh Rockstar in yeah in the house than chip Roy I I can't think of anyone um and uh of course he said for the first time in history there have been two black Americans placed into the nomination for speaker he was of course referring to the Democratic nominee who is uh Hakeem Jeffries of New York so so here's the deal so I I wish uh control do I have a list of the of the names of the the Patriots as Jason pointed out um so it's what Lauren bobert I know is one of them um and uh Jason name some of the others while I'm trying to pull this up here uh Matt Gates Barbara Roy Gates I think pretty much all the house Freedom caucus which seems like this is mostly orchestrated by them which is just awesome um I don't know if you guys heard chip Roy talking this morning on Glenn's radio show but he laid out exactly what they're doing why they're doing it because there's so many people now that are like what are you doing like you know we finally got the house back now let's you know like seize control and blah blah nothing will change regardless of if the Democrat in power or if it's Kevin McCarthy everything will stay the same it doesn't matter if we have a republican majority it will stay the same and the reason is is these establishment Legacy status quo uh politicians democrat or republican yeah they're very uh comfortable and they're very obese in their power and everything that they're doing they're basically see alligators in the swamp this is how the swamp rules our country and they're all like I said status quo Legacy figures of that they're purposely keeping people like real conservatives like chip Roy like a bobert um all the house Freedom caucus members they're keeping them out of like committees that actually make a you know an actual difference and committees like the rules committee where I I didn't even really know about this until I started looking into it but I remember you know we were like looking at Schoolhouse Rock this is how a business law you know they're walking on its own feet um you know it would get proposed it would then get sick to committee and then from if you remember that it then gets sent to the house to vote on how do we have that that's great wow but uh but now but it doesn't go really go like there's one more stop it goes to the rules committee before getting sent to the house to be debated on and then and then vote on well in the rules committee that's where they're setting all the rules and what they're actually kind of like the stop Gap to what actually gets voted on well the problem is there's no conservatives in there they're making these rules that kind of bypass the debate from there they get sent to being straight to being voted on and signed before anyone even gets to read what these things are that's how you can get people like Pelosi say well first we need to pass it before we can see what's in it no that's not the way the country's supposed to work and we have these Patriots that are actually trying to stop it now right the ship and make it change to make it different so the swamp does not control Our Fate anymore right but people like Dan Crenshaw are calling them enemies yes for crying on Dan Crenshaw oh my gosh it's I know I know well it's like again it's like who needs enemies with friends like these is what I find myself saying consistently with this Republican party um so I want to I want to just okay we mentioned a couple of these Representatives who are voting against McCarthy consistently we mentioned bobert Gates uh also Paul gasar is one of them chip Roy as you mentioned key self our friend Anna Paulina Luna so um uh Andy Biggs I believe so um you know it's just it's it's fascinating because take take Lauren bobert for instance um we hear about all of these backroom deals that are being done uh we hear about which I'll get to in a second you know Trump who's saying there's a lot of negotiation that's that's taking place there's a lot of traction that you guys are gaining uh you know to vote for Kevin and let's be done with it and move on but as bobert pointed out today she said that um they've been in negotiations with Kevin McCarthy and uh they actually said that they offered McCarthy a proposal that would have allowed him to reach the 218 vote threshold needed um but he she says he smugly refused it was very common sense things like putting forward a border security Bill putting forward a term limits Bill having a measure in place where any member of Congress who offers an amendment to reduce the federal debt uh that's made in order and he didn't want to he didn't want to capitulate to that again it's like what why would I mean look I understand that the the term Common Sense gets thrown around way too often by the left but when you hear what these things are it's like why are you a member of the Republican party if you can't come to a deal on things like that that is supposed to be part of your party's platform okay Wow first of all the Republican party is dead it's dead it's dead it's dead it's a carcass floating in the water uh it did the whole thing needs to be dissolved at this point I agree with Joe Biden who today at a press conference when they asked him about it he said it's embarrassing it is embarrassing to Jason's point which by the way for those of you I don't want to look right in the camera when I ask you this question how many of you and Jason was talking about going to the rules committee and all of these things the extra steps I'm real Bill how many of y'all just glossed over you just glazed over you went white noise that's the problem right there the fact that you don't know is one thing but the fact that you don't care is completely different because you think that these Eggheads in Washington DC inside the belt where you're just going to take care of everything for you they're just going to take care of everything well you know what that's what they've been doing and as of today you know oh Mitch McConnell he's been there longer than any other Republican ever in the history of the United States in terms of holding that position why are we going to continue to let these guys who do not have our common best interests at heart continue to do the same old thing this is the the thing that these these 19 these 20 you know house members are doing and what they're trying to accomplish is to say look the same old thing is not the status quo is not acceptable anymore we can't continue to do this stuff because you're going to continue to get the same stupid results of big government infringement non-constitutional unconstitutional government big Federal overreach you're going to continue to get all of the same stuff with a guy like McCarthy so I appreciate their stance and yes it was a great interview that Glenn had with chip this morning Chip's speech yesterday was phenomenal he spoke again on the house for today it was great I'm glad that we have guys that are outspoken and say the things that need to be said like chip Roy I mean it takes a lot to go against the grain I mean when you got you know 220 people and you're you're only 20 of the you got 200 people opposing you that in and of itself you know how smurmy swampy Kevin McCarthy is the fact that he will not capitulate to these things tells you everything you need to know they're not for your best interest that's why I say the Republican party is dead they do not if you are a limited government take care of your own business conservative you're not a member of the Republican party anymore they don't care about you they don't want you they're not going to introduce term limits because how would a Mitch McConnell or Kevin McCarthy or any of these other people how are they going to stay in power yeah can I just say like say Dan Crenshaw he literally called these actual true conservatives enemies because they want to right the ship now remember he completely I think that when he started he was completely different I don't think it's different yeah completely different can I say that before you finish that though because because here's where I am as a person who has been in a friendship with Dan Crenshaw for a number of years I have been very carefully the things I've said because I'm like I knew who the guy was I don't recognize this human being I don't know who he is yeah that and so now I'm at a point now where the gloves are off I don't care anymore yeah that's DC I don't think he started I know he didn't start off that way but then when you get in that machine and then you start making a little money we were talking about on what we're gonna talk about in Glenn show tonight all the people that all the congressmen that make this crazy amount of money seemingly out of nowhere they just beat the statistics oh yeah there it is right there he beats the stock market One Step Above Nancy Pelosi and we all know how corrupt the policies are absolutely hammering right he's above them I could tell you I've been drunk with Dan Crenshaw many times he hadn't shared any stock tips with me I mean if he was that big of a if he was that big of a Wall Street shark I mean if he's The Wolf of Wall Street apparently he never shared any of those tips with me when we're when our eyes were getting crooked well that's that's what that's what it becomes they start with good intentions they get there they get into the machine they see what they can do how much money they can make how they can reach themselves and their families the bidens are yeah probably the poster children poster family for this type of behavior the Pelosi certainly are but the Republicans are no better right they're the same they get in there they stop thinking about you all of us it's not a government for the People by the people it's a government for the swamp by the swamp that's what we have to turn over we have to blow up so okay so I want to get back to I mentioned briefly uh Donald Trump has really spoken out on this previously he was like yeah Kevin's my guy then he became remarkably silent when asked once he started noticing that Kevin was going to get pushback and uh just this morning I believe it was uh he he I always want to say tweet it out he didn't because he's not yeah he's not on Twitter it was on Truth social which is of course his platform he said some really good conversations took place last night and it's now time for all of our great Republican house members to vote for Kevin close the deal take the Victory and watch crazy Nancy Pelosi fly back home to a very broken California do not turn a great Triumph into a giant and embarrassing defeat it's time to celebrate you deserve it it's my favorite part Kevin McCarthy will do a good job and maybe even a great job just watch watch I have a hard time stomaching this I have a really hard time stomach in this and I know there are a lot of you out there who love Donald Trump and you are with him till the ends of the Earth and I respect you for that but I would like for you to my computer's talking to me I would like for you to at least answer give me a good answer as to why if this is the guy who's going to drain the swamp what possible reason could he have to be supporting Kevin McCarthy of all people I cannot think of a good one other than he's playing 15 million thousand 3D checks and listen if you want to get pi**ed off it's over this concept stay tuned to blaze after this episode we'll talk about it on my show and I promise you uh we'll p**s all of you I was just let me take the best possible angle I can on this and even we have sources that are telling us kind of what's going on behind the scenes we know that Kevin McCarthy is going to be the speaker uh that's probably that's in the 90 chance that's what's going to happen everyone that's voting right now within the house Freedom caucus and the others uh to try and get change on this it's a negotiation tactic so when Trump truth that there were concessions made that's what they're trying to get so they're trying to get what you were what you just laid out certain things on the border well they clearly haven't gotten them yet exactly so that that is the one thing that I don't know if what he thought was okay they met these guidelines they've made these concessions whatever so maybe now is the time to throw in the towel clearly it's not enough yeah so I do know that he's got some inside information he knows that process he knows it's negotiation and they're trying to get certain things before they eventually give in to McCarthy it pains me to say that McCarthy will be the speaker probably so but that's where he's coming from ah I still don't I don't I don't love it oh I don't love it either I mean it's my show yeah I mean yeah I am gonna you said you didn't really because he tackles it himself on his show so I'm just telling them before who came in here I love the guy but oh do you still after the the thing he said about the abortion uh no I mean there's a lot of things difficult how far are we from break how we got that well I don't have a prompter up so well I'm p**sing everybody off because I keep calling things as I see it all right and I'm there's a reason why I keep saying that Donald Trump is not the same in 2023 as he was in 2015....
