Eric Kaonga re-joins Hammers on a 3 Year Contract.

Erik Kaonga has completed his return to Mzuzu City Hammers formerly Ekwendeni Hammers after a three-year stay at FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.

Kaonga who was the Club's skipper in their debut season left the Iron Boys as he joined Nyasa Big Bullets in 2021 and has returned to the team as a free agent after being released by Nyasa Big Bullets.

Speaking to the club's media Kaonga said, " I'm excited to be back home and to play again for the Iron Boys and I promise all the fans for the Iron Boys that I will continue from where I left before joining Bullets"

Coach Elias Chirambo expressed his gratitude to the team's management for bringing on board a natural left back which was a big problem for the Hammers in the 2023 season as he was just improvising different players like Mathews Banda, Jimmy Msiska and Aubrey Simbi who are not natural left backs.
