_Keep on Breathing_
Dr. Chilima, a leader true and kind,
Mourns the loss of his friend, Ralph, left behind.
With a heavy heart and a spirit anew,
He prepares to leave, his heart entwined with sorrow anew.
"Keep on breathing," the words echo in his mind,
As he dresses in black, his heart and soul aligned.
Mary, concerned, watches him depart,
"I'm not going, the cold has me sick," she says from her bed, her heart heavy with sorrow.
In the helicopter, a somber mood prevails,
Dignitaries silent, faces pale, as they soar into the skies.
The pilot's voice comes through, steady and clear,
"Keep on breathing," as they hit turbulence, fear and doubt disappear.
Dr. Chilima holds tight, his rosary in hand,
Praying for peace, for his friend, for his land, his spirit to expand.
But in an instant, the unthinkable happens,
The plane crashes, and Dr. Chilima's life is snatched, his spirit raptured.
Yet, his legacy lives on, a flame that will never fade,
A leader, a friend, a heart that still sustains, his memory forever displayed.
"Keep on breathing" now takes on a new meaning,
As Malawians mourn, their vice president's passing, their hearts still grieve and sing.
