In celebration of its 110th anniversary, National Product Magazine (NPM) has announced nominations for its prestigious end-of-year awards.
NPM managing director Arthur Chinyamula said in an interview on Wednesday that this year’s awards, slated for December 6 2024, will recognise excellence in industries, products, business and supply across the Southern African Development Community (Sadc) region, with a focus on Malawi’s growth agenda, Malawi 2063.
He said that after a rigorous selection process, over 40 companies from Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique have been nominated for their outstanding contributions to their respective fields.
Notably, 70 percent of the nominees are Malawian entities, aligning with the magazine’s commitment to promoting local talent and innovation.
Chinyamula said they have prepared a link for voting which will be activated on August 29 to September 20 to the public.
Ministry of Trade spokesperson Patrick Botha said the magazine compliments its drive to promote industrialisation in realizing the Malawi 2063 agenda.
The ceremony will bring together industry experts and companies from various sectors to share insights, showcase their products and services through presentations.
Chinyamula said they have prepared a link for voting which will be activated on August 29 to September 20 .
The Malawi Revenue Authority, Electricity Supply Commission of Malawi, Malawi Bureau of Standards will present on innovative products introduced between 2023 and 2024, highlighting the latest developments in customer care.
The NPM awards are a testament to the publication’s dedication to promoting excellence and growth in the region.

Food Processing Company of the Year nominees are Fasa Foods, Sunseed Oil, Agri Value Chain, Rab Processors, African Milling Zambia and Frozy Limited of Mozambique
For Diversity Leaders Manufacturing Award, Bakelines Limited chief executive (CEO) Kush Mital will battle with Pro Pack Limited CEO Ejaaz, Sungold Food Processing Limited Mahesh Ghedia and Chibuku Products Limited CEO
