226,809 candidates pass Malawi PSLCE exams, 98,753 pass JCE

Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) has released results of the 2021 Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) exams and Junior Certificate of Education (JCE) exams.

Out of 270,576 who sat for PSLCE exams, 226,809 have passed representing 83.83 %.

Out of the 129,928 students who sat for Junior Certificate of Education exams, 98,753 have passed which represents a pass rate of 76.01%.

PRESS BRIEFING ON RELEASE OF 2021 PSLCE and JCE RESULTS IN PROGRESS

Out of 270, 576 who sat for PSLCE exams 226, 809 have passed representing 83.83 %, the highest so far in the past 5 years.
Out of 1,676 SNE candidates who sat for the PSLCE exams 1,160 have passed representing 69.21 %.
Results for 46 candidates have been withheld for contravening examinations regulations.

Out of 129,928 who sat the JCE exams 98, 753 have passed representing 76.0% pass rate. This pass rate is comparable to the pass rates for the previous JCE exams . Results of 10 JCE candidates have been withheld for contravening examinations regulations.

All candidates wishing to query their results should do so in writing through heads of schools where they registered for their examinations. All queries to reach MANEB by 16th January, 2022.
