Chrisford Chayera was born as any other normal child in 1971 and grew into a strong child, until at the age of 11 in 1982 when he conceded to infamous Poliovirus that left him disabled. He has so far met three heads of state namely Dr Bakili Muluzi, Professor Bingu wa Mutharika and Professor Peter Mutharika in that order, to personally hand them his creation of magnificent portraits bearing their faces.

Through his God given talent, Mr Chayera has represented Malawi at different art exhibitions in South Africa, China and Japan.

UPDATE ON GEORGE JOBE'S STORY

Following the overwhelming feedback on our first JHEART CLINIC SESSION in which we had George Jobe as a guest, people's interest has gone beyond the program and there are many questions boardering on he's status quo.

Here are a few facts about George Jobe:

1. MARITAL STATUS
Married to Elube

2. CHILDREN
One daughter Madalo Jobe and three sons: George Jobe II, Washington and Gospel.

3. LATEST QUALIFICATION
Master of Business Administration (MBA)

4. CURRENT POSITION/WORK
Executive Director for Malawi Health Equity Network (MHEN). Before that I was Executive Director for Creative Centre for Community Mobilization (CRECCOM) for six years.

5. FAVOURITE PLACE
Zomba Plateau

6. FAVOURITE MEAL/DISH
Nsima with okra (therere).

7. PASSIONATE ABOUT
Serving the disadvantaged and underprivileged who include orphans the needy elderly. I have helped with school fees for some of them, and donating food stuff and clothes to the needy elderly.

8. FAVOURITE DISTRICT
Chitipa. It is rich with various foods, and most people I have interacted with there are polite and always to assist even where it means sacrificing their valuable time.

9. FAVOURITE SPORT/TEAM
Football. I don't have a particular team but I always want smaller teams to win when they play big teams. I look forward to the time when the Malawi Super League would be won by such teams as Chitipa United, Karonga United, Ekwendeni Hammers, Zomba United, Blantyre United, Mtopwa United etc. Sympathising with the underprivileged took control of me I think.

10. PERSON RESPECTED THE MOST
There are two: my mother Elemesi White Luunje Jobe, and my elder brother (ka father) Grey Jobe

As to what happened with George's father to this end, this is what he said;

"We traced him where he had remarried in Chileka, Blantyre. We reconciled with him. We used to visit and help him. At first he was not comfortable. We assured him we didn't blame him and we held no grudges against him. He visited my house in Zomba, and brother's in Ndirande, Blantyre. He passed on in 2000, having left a message that "My Ntcheu children must bury me in Ntcheu" although he had last visited Ntcheu in early 1980s. We took and buried him in Ntcheu. We ended on that good positive note"
