Police in Ntcheu says they are still looking for the relatives of the unidentified man who died on Road accident at Mapira near Lizulu Trading center in Ntcheu on Tuesday 14, 2022.

Ntcheu police spokesperson Rabecca Ndiwate says the body of the man is being kept at Ntcheu District Hospital mortuary pending identification.

Ndiwate says the deceased is dark in complexion, short height and short hair and on the day of the accident, he was wearing a khaki trousers and a white shirt with red patches.

Meanwhile, police in the district is appealling to the public to contact the nearest police if any of their relative is reported missing.

The 2023 Africa Cup of Nation-AFCON qualifiers match between Malawi and Ethiopia that took place on Sunday at Bingu National Stadium produces about 72.7 million kwacha.

According to the press release by football Association of Malawi-FAM, they have managed to make 50 millon kwacha profit.

Over 40,000 people covered the magnificent BNS and the state president Dr Lazarus Chakwera and his Vice President Dr Saulos Chilima were also in attendance besides other government top officials.

Malawi The Flames thrashed Ethiopia by 2 goals to 1 and Hellings Gabadhino Mhango scored a brace through spot kicks in the first half before Ethiopia pulled one back in the second half.

Family Planning Association of Malawi(FPAM) has today launched Nzatonse four project at Nsiyaludzu Village in Ntcheu.

Speaking during the launch, Ntcheu District hospital Nursing officer Tionge Nkutumura said the district is making strides in providing Youth friendly services despite encountering some challenges.

Mkutumula said the district has since January to April registered 1446 cases of Sexually Transmitted Infections and 2601 cases of teenage pregnancies.

FPAM's Social behavior change and Communication-SBCC lead, Andrew Bishop Nkandawire says the fraction is increasing because Communities are trying to understand why young people who are in reproductive stage also needs to freely access reproductive health services.

Mkandawile says some cultural beliefs and norms are some of the challenges contributing to low uptake of family planning methods.

In his remarks Ntcheu District Council chairperson Joshua Kwachera commended FPAM for the project claiming youths are now easily accessing reproductive health services that he believes will help to overcome some challenges like Unwanted pregnancy, contracting STI's and School Drop Out.

Nzatonse project is funded by KFW and is being implemented in Ntcheu and Neno districts.

Dedza District Hospital have surpassed the targeted number of children who received polio vaccine in the first phase by 7%.

Dedza District Hospital public relation officer Mwayi Liabunya said that the campaign was successful despite few challenges that occurred during this campaign.

The first phase of Polio Vaccine was conducted door by door last month where 142, 242 children were vaccinated instead of 131, 770 that we're targeted.

Second phase is expected to be done end of April and dates will be communicated soon.

Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has appointed Marian Mario Marinica as new Flames Coach, after FAM sacked Meck Mwase.

The decision was made during FAM's executive committee meeting held yesterday in Mangochi.

According to Football Association of Malawi they have decided to give Marinica this role due to his successive performance at just end African Cup of Nations.

Marinica has given chance to choose his coaching staff and his expecting to sign new contract with FAM.

Benjamin kumwenda has been appointment as new Technical director replacing Marian Mario Marinica.

Former Nyasa Big Bullets and Flames attacker Peter Banda has won Simba's Player of the month in Tanzania.

Banda managed to beat Tanzania Full back Shamori Salim Kapombe and Centre Back Henock Baka from Democratic Republic of Congo.

It is his first time for the Malawian attacker to be nominated and winning in the end.

Banda joined Simba FC on Three Years Deal from Nyasa Big Bullets after leaving Tiraspol Sheriff of Moldova due to expiring of his loan contract.

Flames attacker Peter Banda has been nominated for simba's fans player of the month award for february following his impressive performance.

Banda is having good time at Tanzanian giants Simba FC , after scoring a goal in the 3-1 victory over Asec Mimosa of Ivory Coast in Confederation Cup recently.

His successive form has seen him competing alongside Tanzanian Full back Shomari Salim Kapombe and Centre back Henock Baka for Democratic Republic of Congo.

The winner will be selected by Simba fans through vote.

This is the first time for Malawian attacker to be nominated in Tanzania.

Football Association of Malawi (FAM) competition's subcommite has shifted the TNM super League kick off date from 26 February to 12 March.

According to FAM competitions and Communication director Gomezgani Zakazaka the season will start on 5 March with Charity Shield.

Airtel Top 8 and TNM super League champions Nyansa Big Bullets and FDH Bank Cup winners Silver Strikers will face each other in the Charity Shield.

Zakazaka disclose this during a meeting held on Saturday in Blantyre where the football Calendar for the 2022 season was also drawn.

Center for Youth Empowerment and Civic Education in conjunction with Dedza District Education Network (DEN) are appealing all stake holders to join hands to overcome challenges which Education sector is facing.

Speaking at the meeting held today in dedza, District education Network chair Heston Nalikole says poor coordination among education stakeholders is major challenge in education sector hence coming up with this development.

In his remarks District Coordinator for Centre, youth empowerment and Civil Education Clemencia Bunga, says they thought it wise to fund this project as the main aim is to end child marriages, s*x gender violence for example, as dedza is having more cases each and everyday.

Activist Bon Kalindo has announced the Cancelation of all planned demonstrations paving ways to people who were affected by Cyclone Ana.

Making Announcement during press briefing in Lilongwe Kalindo says, Even though Malawians are struggling, he thought it wise to cancel the demos as many families are affected by Cyclone Ana hence the cancelation.

However, Kalindo said he will proceed with demonstrations if Chakwera will fail to address the problems which Malawians are suffering.

He also added that he is not affraid of being arrested as he is already aware of situation at Maula Prison.
