The US has stopped processing passport applications using the gender marker "X" and will only issue passports for individuals identifying as male or female. This decision is in line with President Trump's executive order, which states that the US government recognizes two s*xes and that these s*xes are not changeable. In addition to the suspension of processing the applications with the X marker, the US will no longer issue passports with the X marker.

The White House announced the commencement of deportation flights for illegal immigrants, sharing images of individuals boarding military aircraft. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt emphasized the Trump administration’s strict stance, stating, “President Trump is sending a strong and clear message to the entire world: if you illegally enter the United States of America, you will face severe consequences.” On Thursday, 538 illegal immigrant criminals were arrested, including a suspected terrorist, gang members, and individuals convicted of s*x crimes against minors.

US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order to declassify documents related to the assassinations of former president John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert F. Kennedy, and civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.

The order directs the director of national intelligence and the attorney general to develop a plan to declassify the remaining records related to the former president, and 45 days for the other two cases.

John F. Kennedy was shot dead in 1963, with his brother meeting the same fate while running for president just five years later. The US' most prominent civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. was murdered in the same year. The assassinations have transfixed the American public for decades and sprouted countless conspiracy theories.

It comes as part of a flurry of executive orders, pardons and presidential decrees Trump signed on the same day, which included pardons for imprisoned anti-abortion protesters who blockaded clinic entrances.

Hundreds of LGBTQ+ couples in Thailand married as the kingdom's equal marriage law went into effect after decades of campaigning by activists.

With this, Thailand has become the first country in Southeast Asia to legalize same-s*x marriage.

"Equal marriage has truly become possible with the power of all," said former Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, who was head of government when the legislation was passed in June last year. He described the day as one "close to the hearts of many Thais."

Rainbow flags flew above the country's Parliament to mark the day, and shopping complexes planned to hold events to celebrate the introduction of the law.

Thailand has become the first country in Southeast Asia to legalize same-s*x marriage. LGBTQ+ groups are hoping for more than 1,000 registrations in one day as the law goes into force.
