Gaumee Film Awards is a national award to honor and recognize the hard work and talent in the cinematic field in the Maldives. The awards, first presented in 1995, are overseen by the National Center for the Arts of the Maldives. The awards honor achievements for cinematic accomplishments for the preceding year, however, was temporarily paused for the last 6 years. Gaumee Film Awards 6 coming on 2

2nd October 2015, is for feature films and short movies between 2008 and 2010. The cinematic fields are judged by a panel of 7 experienced professionals by jury basis.
