Umar is the mastermind behind the Sundown Fest, the Maldives' most popular annual music festival, attracting top international DJs. His performances have included sets with renowned artists like DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Katch and the legendary Walshy Fire from Major Lazer, further enhancing his impressive resume. As the co-founder of Uber Events & Artists, Umar has played a crucial role in establishing one of the Maldives' leading event solutions providers for resorts, and the only DJ management and development agency. He has been instrumental in launching the careers of some of the country's top young DJs. In 2019, Umar founded Soundscape Solutions to fill the gap for a Maldives-based music strategy and playlisting agency with international expertise. Soundscape specializes in creating music identities and curating bespoke playlists for top hotels, resorts, and restaurants. Through this venture, Umar leverages his deep understanding of music to enhance luxury hospitality environments and delight guests.
