Our heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Joe Cannataci for his outstanding contribution to global privacy rights, earning him the award of the Amnesty International Chair 2024.

Cannataci is the head of the Department of Information Policy & Governance and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Media & Knowledge Sciences at the University of Malta. His dedication to discussing privacy as a universal right is commendable in our increasingly digitised landscape.

Do you have a garage and want to reclaim some of your tax benefits? Contribute to the number of available parking slots on our roads and claim back a percentage of your taxes each month!

Extensive research conducted by Prof. Ing. Dr Brian Cortex, senior UM lecturer and committee member on the Board of Vehicular Policies, formed the basis of the temporary parking slots scheme.

This scheme is currently open for applications in the Msida region throughout the month of April. A nationwide call will follow in the coming months.
Read more about how you might benefit from this scheme: https://thinkmagazine.mt/trade-your-parking-slot-for-a-tax-benefit/
