I’ve learned the hard way that gurus are not always the way to go.

These power houses have the experience, knowledge and integrity to take you to the next level.

Because they are interested in you and how you want to live and run your business.

☀️ - who shows up consistently in the online space as a woman who isn’t afraid to say it how it is and challenge scams. I’m learning so much about creating other streams of recurring revenue from her.

I’ve gone from looking at business as something I need to always spend 1:1 time on, to thinking about what kind of life and business I ideally want.

When we were about to move to Malta, she even helped us with suggestions on where we might want to live and St Paul’s Bay (Xemxija) proved to be an amazing place for us. 🇲🇹

🌟 Next up is - what an amazing woman and so focused. She made it easy for me to see what to work on so my website services were helping different people on different budgets.

I always feel like she’s there cheerleading me - her little messages when I promote things we talked about our session, really spur me on to achieve!

One - do what you are passionate about so this is coming ❤️ Two - a gap in the market for a specific service for subscription box owners. So my Subbly service was born!

🧠 Speaking of brains, mine needed taming and in came with her fabulous £27 a month membership. She’s a qualified hypnotherapist and her hypnoses that I listen to every night have really changed the way I view myself, business & life in general. Mindset work got me through hard times of zero income in Malta - wow what a journey, with someone who clearly runs her membership like it’s a high ticket product. ❤️🥰

2025 needs to be people connecting with people.

Your brand needs to do more than look polished and perfect.

It needs to tell the story of the human/s behind the service or product.

What makes you you?

Here's a bit of inspiration for you.

I'm always wearing a hoodie, because they keep my skin from itching (eczema) - so much so that my husband thinks they are glued on.

I wear headphones when designing even if I don't have music flowing through them, as it seems to help me concentrate.

I am a bit clumsy and absent minded sometimes, which explains why me and Sasha ended up wet up to the knees recently at Constantine Bay.

Oh and I love to live by the sea and wear caps nearly all year around.

What is one thing you can be honest about to give clients or customers a sense of who you are?

Would you believe that nearly 3 years ago I was still working part time as a primary school teacher?

When I walk into the countryside I often begin to reflect on how lucky I am now.

When I was a teacher, I didn’t have the flexibility to rest in of my chronic fatigue was surfacing.

I didn’t have the choice to have a quiet day behind the computer if I was feeling like I needed peace and quiet.

Having my own business has been the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but equally the best thing too.

And the possibilities in front of me just keep growing.

🌊 Lessons I’ve learned from rebranding my business

Rebranding isn’t just about changing colors or fonts – it’s about realigning your business with who you are and where you’re going Here’s what I’ve learned along the way:
⭐ My brand needs to feel like me. If it doesn’t reflect my personality, it’s not going to resonate with the right people.

⭐ It has to excite me! If I’m not proud to look at my own branding, I won’t share my business links – and that’s a big red flag.

⭐ Cookie-cutter approaches? Not for me. It's just not going to create a deep enough message that people will connect with.

⭐ The sea and travel inspire me. My love for these needed to shine through my brand more – the dark tones just didn’t feel right. Now, it feels lighter and fresher.

⭐ It’s screaming for a brand photoshoot! And guess what? That’s already on its way. I can’t wait to share even more of my brand story with you soon. 🌟

Rebranding has been a journey of digging deep – and I’m loving the results!

Not having an email list could be costing you sales

Spoiler alert and quick ass kick - you don’t need to have a huge audience or established business to start your email list.

It’s easy to add an opt-in form to your website, even if you haven’t developed a lead magnet yet.

Ideally you need to make a lead magnet that will solve one small problem and give new subscribers a quick win.

Please don’t rely on social media as the only way to connect with your audience.

What happens if your account gets hacked or the algorithm changes?

Relying only on social media could mean that your business is leaving so much money on the table.

An email list gives you:
📩 Direct Access to your audience without fighting algorithms.
💬 Personalized Communication that builds trust and relationships.
💰 Higher Conversions because emails are more likely to be seen and acted upon.

Social media is great, but your email list is your safety net and a tool for creating consistent revenue, especially as your list grows over time.

Here a 5 non-negotiable elements for websites that aren’t run-of-the-mill boring.

1️⃣ WordPress – The best for SEO and visibility online IMHO
2️⃣ Elementor – The builder I love to use to create gorgeous, editable designs.
3️⃣ Brand photography – Okay I’m doing this this year - this is essential. It captures you being you, and in 2025, that is THE most important thing.
4️⃣ Branding - Have a colour palette, fonts, logo and images that convey the message you want to your audience.
5️⃣ Good copy (text) - Ideally get a copywriter to do this, but my guide has you covered. (There’s even ChatGPT prompts to get you going)

I was just reflecting as I was reading my latest book by on how different I feel this Christmas compared to last Christmas.

This year I had about 10 minutes of feeling awkward about Christmas- like I wasn’t sure what to do and the temptation to work was there. But D came through with some awesome wisdom and helped me through those minutes and I shifted my focus on what I had achieved.

I have experienced this awkwardness for many years and never really felt comfortable at Christmas.

Last year it lasted days.

What has changed?

Last year I made a commitment to myself to look after myself, no matter what happened.

has a model he explains where you are the main person to look after and then when you have achieved this, next is family and friends and so on.

I stuck to this and particularly the nervous system work has been transformational.

I feel calmer every day.
I feel ready to challenge myself further and it feels darn good!

So next is challenging myself to build wealth and my ideal life knowing that the foundation is now there. 💪

To make them feel seen and heard and to help them in your unique way.

Reviewing my business has become part of my year, and I’m not going to lie this review is not the easiest.

Why?

Because the one goal that would help fuel all my other goals - I totally missed by a mile.

It stings but it’s the truth.

This was my income goal. To make £50k this year from my business alone. (Not from our rental houses or my husband’s income)

And despite my best efforts I didn’t come anywhere close.

Part of the way through the year I realised that my nervous system was fried because I was anxious about money all the time, so I set about learning more about how to help myself.

I invested in a mindset membership and it is the single best investment I’ve made this year.

There were so many old stories I was telling myself - about not being good enough or being able to be visible that I think I was self-sabotaging without realising.

The hypnosis tracks inside the membership have helped me rewire a lot of this and already I’m approaching business in a less emotional way, which is way better for my mental and physical health.

So while income is something for me to focus on in 2025, (I’ve set a big-ass goal for that!) I want to celebrate the wins I have had.

💪 Exercising more regularly and getting more protein every day. Thanks for the inspiration and support.

💪 Embracing outside help to help me see where my blind spots are

💪 Organised travel and moving our lives back to UK without stress.

💪 Worked with lovely clients and I’m excited to help even more people with their tech and websites.

💪 Made friends for life in Malta and lived every moment to the fullest. ❤️🥰

If I’m honest I can’t wait to see the back of 2024, but it has taught me so much!

Now I’m excited for 2025 - and for what is possible ✨

Have a clear button in your top navigation for example - Book a call Contact Whatever it is that you want someone to do to take action. 🌟 User-friendly navigation Have the main components like your services page, about page and contact in the top menu. If something is not crucial, or it’s a secondary thing like a link to your blog, put it into your footer menu. Avoid cluttering the top space - this is where you get people to take fast action. 🌟 Be aware of how your website looks on mobiles. Over 50% of people visiting your website will be on their phones.
