24th March.... With some more paperwork completed at the port of entry to Guimaras, myself and Niki were finally on our way home to our house.

From arrival and filling in more forms and putting up with more nonsense in yet another airport we were herded into something called an ambulance. Extremely hot inside, stinking of spilt diesel this was our trip to Parola boat port some 45 minutes away. Funny how we all had negative swab tests but were still treated like lepers...Faces have been blurred out

Unless you pay 5 star prices in the Philippines you never get what you pay for. I paid for a budget hotel for my quarantine period
So far,
Unable to pay balance of room booking by card as they have no card machine even though it was booked through Booking.Com
Advertised on the website is a restaurant in the hotel, and indeed there is one, but there is no chef 😂
Last night the internet went off and still off this morning. When I enquired why, I was told the bill had not been paid. 😂 No apology of course .
There are guests here doing quarantine, as well as non quarantine guests 😂 What's the point of having a quarantine hotel if other non quarantine guests also stay here.
This is a government designated hotel, and who is doing the approving for this I have no idea...
I paid 50% of my booking online by card and expected to pay rest by card in the hotel here, but no.
I booked and paid for, a budget room with wifi in room, and restaurant on site, because I am in quarantine. But no.
Needless to say the review I leave to Booking .com will not be too favourable ...
On the plus side, staff are friendly and helpful, room is big, air-con is cold, and there is cable tv. Other than that there are better places offline for less money too.
So if I have to wait a bit after quarantine I will certainly move hotels.In the meantime have a 🍌 😂

Remember these, we used to fly on these all the time didn't we? That was a real hassle to check in in they wanted to verify my visa, they wanted to verify my hotel room in Manila, then they couldn't find the hotel that I was booked into in Manila and if they couldn't find it they wouldn't let me travel.... took about 45 minutes it took me to check in

Slight update to post below, as i only bought 2 cans of beer with me when i came, these are now gone. i just asked the hotel to bring me some cans of Carlsberg from the restaurant, and on inquiring how much it was a can i was told 76hk dollar which comes to a little over 7 quid a can 👀👀🍾😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😡😡😡👁👀, now theres taking the P...... and taking the P....... and that is seriously taking the P.....

So whats it like doing 14 days quarantine? I got a cheap hotel 320 quid for 2 weeks, probably about 3 star. Check in formalities simple enough, and from entering my room i have not been out the door and no one is allowed to come inside, Food is not included in the price of the hotel, but i can order set dishes from the quarantine menu lol but each meal is about 10 quid so up to now i haven't done so.....

I brought a load of tinned food with me plus noodles, beans and crap like that. I have mini cooker to do rice and cook something very basic and simple, so although unappetizing and boring food, i have managed so far. If it wasn't for for my back muscle pain i would be doing some drawing on the computer, but its not comfortable lying down and trying to draw.

The monitor/tracker on my wrist buzzes several times a day then a scanner pops up on my phone, i then have to scan the qr code on the monitor on my wrist and this verifies my location. Penalties are heavy for going outside room.

Any deliveries to my room are left outside the door and they call the room phone to tell me there is something outside my door. I have tv and wifi and its only a small room but comfortable enough
The time is passing by reasonably fast, its day 7 already so i can do this easily no sweat, now if this pain would get the hell away, then all would be good.

Can you imagine a person taking the time and trouble to get and pay for medicine and deliver it to a hotel to a person she doesn't know and has never spoken to before in her her life...
I live in a world where such kind people hardly exist, this may be the reason why it has upset me greatly for her kindness.. Thank you
