Background
Scholar Research & Development Journal first appeared in October, 2006. Three issues of the journal were published with self funding. The journal tends to embrace the legacies of the Journal of Burma Research Society, published from 1911 to 1977, which was eventually suspended by the former military dictator Ne Win. Objectives

Scholar Research & Development Journal are to establish active channels of communication between academic researchers, students and readers and to promote innovative research and studies in social sciences, arts, humanities, history and culture, related to Burma/Myanmar and Southeast Asia.
