TIRAMISU CUPS: A FAMOUS ITALIAN DESSERT

These individual Tiramisu Cups are creamy, rich, and perfect for any sweet craving.

SERVINGS:1

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ladyfinger cookies
1/2 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
Cocoa powder for dusting

1. In a bowl, whisk together mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

2. Dip ladyfinger cookies in the brewed coffee and layer them at the bottom of a serving cup.

3. Add a layer of the mascarpone mixture on top of the cookies.

4. Repeat the layers until the cup is filled, ending with a layer of the mascarpone mixture.

5. Dust the top with cocoa powder.

6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

LIMONCELLO & RICOTTA CAKE: EASY, FAST & DELICIOUS

SERVINGS:6

INGREDIENTS:

3 eggs
1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 2/3 cups fresh ricotta cheese
Grated zest of 1 lemon
2 tbsp of limoncello
1 packet of baking powder (about 2 1/4 teaspoons)
2 tbsp of milk
1 tsp of vanilla extract
powdered sugar to taste

In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar with a mixer for at least 5 minutes. Add the limoncello and milk, then the flour, vanilla extract and baking powder, continuing to mix with a spoon.

Add the ricotta, passed through a sieve or potato masher, and the grated zest of an organic lemon.

Mix well until the mixture is smooth.

Transfer the mixture to a 9 inches baking dish lined with baking paper and level it well.

Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 340°F for about 50 minutes.

Once baked, allow it to cool.

Dust the cake with powdered sugar and serve.

Whether you are an experienced pastry chef or new to the kitchen, this recipe is meant to be simple and rewarding.

Settimana Della Lingua Italiana Nel Mondo 🇮🇹

On the occasion of the Italian Language Week 2024, the Embassy of Italy in Yangon will present the 5 finalists of the Best Short Movie prize at the David di Donatello Awards, organized by the Academy of Italian Cinema:

• Foto Di Gruppo, by Tommaso Frangini
• In Quanto A Noi, by Simone Massi
• The Meatseller, by Margherita Giusti (Winner)
• We Should All Be Futurist, by Angela Norelli

The screening will take place on Tuesday, 15th October from 4.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. at the Embassy of Italy in Yangon.

The event is free entry, and the seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please kindly note that it is necessary to confirm your attendance by sending an email to [email protected] due to the limited number of seats available.

English subtitles are available for all of the movies.

No parking spot will be available inside the premises.

On the occasion of the European Day of Languages, a joint initiative of European diplomatic missions and their cultural institutes in Myanmar is organising "Speak, Study & Work in Europe 2024" for students, parents and young professionals to introduce opportunities for study and work mobility in Europe.

The scholarships are intended for Italians and foreigners, provided they reside abroad and meet the requirements for enrolment at an Italian University. Scholarships winners will receive a 50% reduction on the six-monthly fee and will be provided free access to the ICoN level B2 online Italian course.
