A pencil and a Life

There are similarities between a pencil and a human life.

1.Resourceful

Pencils are marvelous tools that allow us to express our creativity by drawing colourful pictures and writing exciting stories. Just like pencils, people have amazing imaginations, and we use them to create beautiful art, write fascinating books, or even invent new games that everyone can enjoy.

2.Non-Permanent

Pencils are like our special tools that slowly become shorter and shorter as we use them. Eventually, they get so tiny that we can’t use them anymore. In a similar way, people have their own special time on Earth. We are born, we grow up, and eventually, when we get very old, our time comes to an end. It is important to make the best out of the time we have, just like using a pencil until it is all gone.

3.Developing

Pencils need a little help to work their best, and that is why we sharpen them. People need help to get better as well, and we do this by going to school and learning new things. Going to school helps us become smarter and better at all the things we want to do when we grow up.

4.Error Correction and Improvement

Pencils have erasers that can eradicate errors. Likewise, people make mistakes sometimes, but we can learn from them and try again to do the right things. This is how we get better at everything we do.

5.Adaptability

Pencils serve diverse functions, adapting to the specific needs of the user, from mathematical calculations to artistic creations. Similarly, people can have different jobs and hobbies. Some people become doctors ,while some are teachers and famous artists. Each person brings something special to the world in their own way.

These five facts are the similarities between a pencil and a human life, both of which have unique qualities that make them special, and they both have a role to play in making the world an interesting and creative place

Before and After


I did not know what learning English was before I arrived here. I still remember that I couldn’t spell even the word “interesting” correctly before HEC. I did not have any chance to get any tuition when I was young. My parent told me that tuition is just a waste of time and money. I do not want to blame them because they did not have that chance either. I knew nothing about Noun Forms, Verb Forms or any grammar rules. I used to get punished by being told to stay out of the class as a high-school student because I did not know grammar rules to transform active to passive. It has become a memorable experience as I spent most of my time living alone. I never shared my problems to others, not even to my parents for the reason that I did not want them to be upset about me. Sometimes I was bullied by friends, too. They told me that I was lack of knowledge.

Luckily, My Mom accepted my problems, and she supported a lot on my education when I grew up. And she told me if she had known about the value of education, she would have supported me since I was a child. I wanted to be a lawyer when I was young. Bunt dreams were so expensive for me. My grades were unqualified for my dream, so my dream disappeared. Fortunately, I had chance to be one of the HEC students who can create many opportunities for future. I have known the value of education and the value of friendship. I have improved my English skills more than I expected after arriving here. Now I can keep up with other students. How about my social skill? I could say that I have improved a lot if I think of my previous self. This school makes me to be both mature and sociable. Both teachers and friends from here fill love and care into my broken heart. You all make me to be better than I am. So I want to say thank you so much to Fr. Neil, Fr. Richard, all the benefactors , all the staff, and all my friends. You all will always hold a special place in my life.
