We will be offering product reviews, tips and tricks of the field and woods, recipes and anything else to help share our knowledge and hopefully make others experiences that much better out in the field, and all the way back to the kitchen table to make your harvest into a meal fit for a king! The infamous Tomahawk cut, via Smoked and reverse seared on my The Good One smoker. This one isn’t for the faint of heart, have the fire Dept and ent on hand when cooking and eating. It just might set the place on fire, and you may not be able to handle to greatness and go into cardiac arrest. y’all, and support a small business like and keep your food and ways to cook it made in the good ol USA! Y’all ready for lunch? Some of that “dry” and “gamy” wild boar. No brine, no injections. Simply rubbed and smoked in my Good One Heritage Smoker. No electrical cords needed. Wild meat and fire. Doesn’t get any better! Try not to drool on your phone plz 😂🤘🤘

I don’t know about y’all but I’m a sucker for a dandy public land buck. Would ya look at the character and mass this sucker has! proudly shared with me(and rightly damn so) this stud of a public lander she was able to harvest this season. I’ll admit I’m a tad jealous and also this is one of the nicer public land white tails I’ve seen as well this season that has been taken. Only a few more days of deer rifle season in MO are left. Like i always say, no matter the hunt it’s always coyote season. I shot this big girls tail off when i first got this small chunk of property to hunt and manage. Peppered her pretty good this spring turkey as well. She finally showed face and the deer hunt turned to a yote hunt. I’m not going to lie, a little piece of me left with that dog. Not too often u chance a specific dog for 2 years. The game of cat and mouse finally came to and end. May she rest easy and may the fawns do the same now. On to the next girl that makes this place her home!

So, i was hunting opening morning just north of my cousin maybe 1000 yds if that. Playing a SW wing we are hoping all the folks coming in from the gravel south of us will push is some deer. Mind u there are a few decent bucks in this area we’ve been getting on cam. This being on of em. Well come to find out there is still about 68 acres of standing corn between him and myself. So as I’m getting play by play updates of “ope another one! Not quite a shooter tho” or “ope nice nice one wrong side of the fence tho keep an eye out” those deer just dissolve into the standing corn one by one. Never to be seen again. I had one decent 3..5 yo come out that i held off on hoping he’d make it just one more year. Then i hear a shot, one that sounded like it made contact from Jeff’s direction. Get the text, “nice one, took a shot, looked and sounded good”. Sure as s**t! 2 years in a row dropping decent bucks. Congrats and hope the luck continues! Haha now i need that luck to swing a bit my way so send some over cuz!

There a certain sights that i wish you could unsee, this one, isn’t one of those. Montana truly is a gift from god for us to take in. Waking on earth and rock that you know damn well may have only ever had your foot prints placed on them, that is an amazing feeling that’s hard to grab ahold of. Even though the hunting was tough and sub par, the company and country was far from disappointing.

Sunday funday. Humbling, rough, testing, and amazing start of the hunting season in Montana. Missed opportunities, lost one deer, stoned two in their tracks. Hunting was up and down just like the terrain, and what a way to kick things off. Good time with the boys and look forward to next year out there!

This. Sailers happen. This one scared me a bit, this dog doesn’t have a stop button. When she’s on something she ain’t giving up. Every bit 200 yds from where we were hunting, this bird swam off, dove at least a dozen times, and they say GSP’s aren’t water dogs or retrievers... she would have ran with the best of em this day. How’s y’all turkey seasons goin so far? For me so far this has been about the best my turkey season has gone.. with record low hatch numbers for the part couple years, the birds are slim picking. And what we have are stationary old times, of which none seem to be roosting on my place so i can’t even pull a sneak in em. Let’s hope my luck changes and soon!

Last bit of practice for the day. It’s hot and muggy, lol you’ll c the signs of a dog that wants a break in the video, but @whoanellyskennel did a great job working with her this late spring! Threw in a kennel to implement a blind(that i left in my decoy trailer) for field training. She’ll be a duck and goose dog this year for sure!
