There is always room to improve your driving skills and become a better driver!

Logan asked his friends and family how they would describe his driving in preparation for coming on the show, and he asked them to be brutally honest.

They told him he is a competent driver but can be a bit scary at times.

And this is something he may not have been made aware of if he hadn’t asked in preparation for this podcast!

But now Logan is actively trying to adjust and make everyone who rides in the car with him more comfortable 🙂.

Like if you agree!

For Key this is one of the most important things to remember when on the road: stay courteous.

It is important to remember that we are all out here on the road trying to going somewhere.

And above all, remember that those are not empty cars driving around you (at least not yet), there are actual human beings (and sometimes pets) inside of them.

Wouldn’t it be great if there were moving walkways in airports for cars on highways? Would you use this?

Jessica would love to see a lane on the highway where you can choose to park your car, input your exit that you want to get off on, and let the lane take you there. Then once you get there you can get off on the exit and resume driving.

I think it would be a great way to not only save on gas usage, but also help alleviate drowsy driving (or if you are on a long road trip)!

Like if you agree! As a driving instructor, Key has realized that the driving test is not a real indication of whether or not you can drive by itself.

She has watched people who know how to drive fail the driving test and people who are not as confident, pass (and yes, watching the driving test is one of Key’s pass times 🙂).

If you have ever driven in either America or India, would you agree with these descriptions of drivers in those countries?

Jessica lives in both India and the US and has noticed the mindsets towards driving, and the driving cultures, are very different.

For Americans, Jessica has noticed that it is all about the rules and if someone does not follow the rules, people get very upset.

Whereas in India, people thrive on bending the rules and Jessica see this a one of their greatest strengths. Rather than always following the rules, they do what makes sense in a situation.

Like if you agree with this!

David emphasizes that no matter what you call it, your signal/directional/blinker is important while driving because it allows you to let other drivers on the road know what you're about to do or what you want to do.

Using your signal is just road courtesy.

Have you noticed this about California drivers?

David has driven on both the East and West Coasts of the US and has noticed that in California, if you put on your signal to try and change lanes, drivers will speed up to close the gap and not let you in! He also wonders if this might be the reason Californian drivers do not use their signals, because they know if they do they won’t be able to move over.

Typically, when he has been on the East Coast and used his signal, people will ease off the accelerator and let you in.

Mariel has traveled extensively and has noticed that not only are rules different in different countries, but they vary between states in the USA.

Like if you agree with this advice!

Keeping your eyes on the road and not driving distracted, though it seems obvious, Peter points out it is easier said than done.

We have all been guilty of driving distracted at some point while we were behind the wheel, whether it was glancing at your phone, talking to someone, or even just being lost in your own thoughts.

Peter's advice is to really try and focus on one thing at a time, especially when it comes to driving.
