Wow this weekend was HEAT! Went to rep Black Girl Gamers at DreamCon!! Thank you DreamCon for having us!

This weekend flew by so fast! Here’s what I can remember:

✅ Interviewed A LOT of people

🫶🏽 Ran into supporters and friends (and meeting them for the first time at the con!!)

🎤 Moderated an entrepreneurship panel featuring , , and !

✨Did my FIRST panel discussing Building Confidence as Black Women in Nerdy Spaces with Eunice from and BGG CEO Jay-Ann!

🔥Assistant coach for the women’s dodgeball tournament from Creator League and Houseofhighlights. (They cheated 🤧)

I hate that I missed out on seeing so many people since I was working like crazy, but I happy to see everyone enjoyed themselves. Thank you for making this a safe space for black nerds to vibe out and be their authentic selves. I’m so proud of Rdcworld1 for building such a dope convention and glad this con helped make a lot of dreams come true for so many people, including me 🔥

That one time I stopped at a game store in New York and they had a signed copy of MGS games and the PS3 from the legendary ! MGS is one of my favorite franchises!

For such a small store, it has literally everything! 🥹🙌🏽

This is insane! We are almost at 50K! Thank you all so much for your support.

For those of you who are new here, my name is Victoria, and I'm a content creator based in Atlanta. I'm passionate about retro gaming and exploring local game stores, and I'm also directing documentaries that celebrate the power of nostalgia. Not to mention, I LOVE anime, collecting retro consoles, and game magazines.

My goal is to build a community of people who share my love for all things retro, and I occasionally host live streams.

As I recently turned 30 (yes I just turned 30 🤣), my content also reflects my experiences navigating life in my thirties. For me, new months are opportunities to start something new like play a new game, discover a new passion, create a new goal, and more. I believe the beginning of each month is a fresh start to your ongoing journey at literally anything.

I will be using this month to create new habits and discover new ways of being productive. That includes finding more time each week to visit game stores. ☺️

Not gaming-related, but I wanted to highlight my weekend!

Thank you to Black Girl Gamers for sponsoring my visit to Culturecon Atlanta! It was such a dope experience to meet familiar and new faces, attend panels with great speakers, and network with brands. I had a great time!

Top highlights for me:
✨Finally meeting in person! I’ve been following his work for a while, so it was dope to chat with him. I need to plan a visit to his Atlanta photography studio someday.

✨Met some dope photographers at the event! I gotta show love to the photographers. (Y’all know me!) The first set of photos was shot by . Thanks again, Omar!

✨ Next was the brand spaces! All of them were so dope, but three caught my eye! The first was the bodega-style Reebok booth by and ! Next, the decked-out Nike booth with the retro TVs by ! And lastly the Instagram booth with virtual notes and selfie station by and !
