We just moved from SATX to Wichita and it’s snowed over 6 inches today ☃️❄️

We are MOVING tomorrow…📦🤗

Let’s chat about 3 things…

1. My sweet friend messaged me when he found out and said we HAAAD to do a shoot before we left. We had the best time, y’all. If you’re in SATX + need a photographer, follow him.

2. The shoot was the perfect opportunity to let the new earrings for the holiday collection have the moment Tahoe deserved. 🤩 I linked them in my LTK and Amazon storefront.

3. Ps if you’re moving with a toddler, here’s some tips that have worked for us so far!👇📦

🛒 Schedule a Walmart pickup order for the day we move in. It’s a lifesaver for easy-to-make meals or pre-made options during the first week when we’ll be busy unpacking. Planning meals in advance saves us from the post-move brain fog! 🙃

👦 Involve Lincoln in the moving process. Instead of him coming home to an empty room, we let him help pack his own items and tell him, ‘These are going to Lincoln’s new room!’ It makes him feel included and excited about the change, even though he doesn’t have context for what a move is.

📅 We assigned specific packing tasks for each weekend. For example, we dedicated one weekend to decluttering the garage and labeling bins as ‘trash’, ‘donate’, or ‘keep’. Then, we packed kitchen items we could live without til the move, and cleaned the cabinets as we emptied them. We have been assigning rooms/tasks to each weekend, making the packing process easier, more economical, and less stressful.

🎒 Keep all necessities easily marked and accessible. No more searching through boxes for essentials days after the move! We make sure to have a designated box or bag with all the must-haves within reach.

👶 Set up Lincoln’s room with the same theme and furniture to provide him stability and consistency during the move.

🧸 We’re also keeping his schedule the same, but planning to be flexible if it doesn’t go exactly to plan. We want to provide consistency for him.

🛏️ Keep Lincoln’s favorite toys and blanket handy. Familiar items bring comfort during the transition.

We all had so much fun modeling for Faithvilles first annual fashion show! These girls were the sweetest 🥰

🌾🌅 Another unforgettable weekend at Oma and Opa’s ranch down in the books.

🤗 I was showing Lincoln the ropes of catching grasshoppers in mason jars for fish bait, just like the we used to do as kids at mamaw and papaw's place. He loved chasing the “poppers”. It was the sweetest. 🦗🎣

Meanwhile, Austin was clearing the pasture (basically his heaven on earth). He even gave me a crash course on operating it. NGL I felt pretty awesome…Opa looked terrified I was behind the wheel but we don’t have to talk about that. 😂🚜💪

We got to wake up and wind down to the most breathtaking sunrises and sunsets on the porch swing every day 🌅✨

But the highlight of it all was spending time with my brother, my new sis Kim, and their adorable little nugget, Millie. Lincoln was head over heels for her cuteness overload! 👶💕

It was much needed 🌟💖
