Is there anything less sexy than DEFENSIVENESS?

Are you struggling with a partner that get's defensive? Maybe they are using some of the phrases mentioned above...

Perhaps, you're the one getting defensive whenever your partner brings something up. So, what can you do about it?

First, it's all about looking inward. Notice when you or your partner is getting defensive and ask yourself why. It's not about winning the argument, but really hearing each other out.

Try saying 'I feel...' instead of 'You always...' to keep things cool. It's like saying, 'Hey, this is about me, not you,' and it helps your partner listen without feeling attacked.

Listening is key, too. I mean really listening, not just waiting for your turn to speak. Put yourself in their shoes and try to get where they're coming from.

And remember, it's not about pointing fingers. Focus on the problem, not the person. Make some rules for arguing fair – no low blows, no dragging up the past.

Remember, it's all about growing together and strengthening our bonds.
