I’m really excited for this. The Black church has a rich history with Black culture, often intertwined for the better and sometimes worse. For a Black church to invite a mental health counselor to come and speak about Mental Health is monumental and a sign of the growing times. I’m so excited to see us all grow together 🙌🏿🙌🏿

She realized it was crazy because she KNOWS the friend doesn't live like this everyday, she knows the struggle of her everyday life and still found herself fighting these feelings. It's natural, it's human but don't stay there. "There's no comparison between the sun and the moon. They shine when it's their time"

Communication skills are just that - a skill. It takes practice and effort. My favorite book on adult child/parent relationships is “Adult Children of Emotionally immature parents”

A realization that has blessed me recently is understanding that God stands outside of time. We were talking about when God told Paul “my grace is sufficient and my power is made perfect in weakness” after Paul asked for struggles to be removed, Gods answer translates to explain how God sees what’s needed and adds to it in order to render a thing complete. Nate said “God already did it and is just waiting for our time to catch up with what he did”. So keep pushing, keep going hard, keep striving. We’re just waiting to catch up with what was already done 😭😭😭😭 #grwm #grwmmakeup #blackgirlmagic #christianinspiration

I know what you’re going to say because I said it. Cottage cheese pancakes???? My friend raved about it and I didnt believe her but she was right!! I used the recipe from momsdish.com and per my besties recommendation I added some nutmeg, cinnamon, salt and a banana. Nate said it melts in your mouth and the kids keep asking me to make it
