inmotion (http://www.facebook.com/inmotion.spa), the movie making society, School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, and the Dept. of Film and Television (http://www.facebook.com/groups/129026223795553/?fref=ts), National College of Arts, Lahore are organizing an Indo-Pak students' short-film making competition “Beta Movement” as a part of SPA Delhi's annual college fest Utopia to be held on
the 28th of Feb to the 2nd of March. Upload your videos on youtube/ vimeo and share the video link on the page, along with your details (name of the applicant, email address, name of the movie, name of your institution)
2. In case you have privacy issues regarding your film, and dont wish it be public, then inbox us your video link, but do post your details on the page wall. The last date for the film submission is on 26th February 2013. The short film may be of any genre. The best ten short films will be short listed for screening during Utopia and will be judged by an elite panel of jury. Just keep the following points in mind:
• The competition is open only to students.
• We expect the short film range from 3min - 20min
• Each entry must accompany an appropriate title and synopsis.
• All films must be in Hindi/ Urdu/ English. In case of any other language provide English subtitles.
• Entrants may submit multiple entries.
• The film must NOT be a documentary short film.
• Short films that are submitted must be the entrants original work and shall not infringe on any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties. Any footage/background score/sound track taken from somewhere shall be specified with the source in a suitable fashion.
• All entries would be judged based on these 5 areas: Content Originality, Production, Post-Production, Image, Sound
• The entries shall be posted on the Beta Movement page on facebook in a high quality format or shall be uploaded at minimum 320p quality on youtube.
• The organizers (inmotion, SPA New Delhi and Dept. of Film and TV, NCA Lahore) reserve the right to screen, share, and/or distribute the submitted videos as entries to Beta Movement, Utopia '13.
• The decision of the judges shall be final and binding to all. WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON MARCH 2ND, 2013 AND WILL BE NOTIFIED BY MAIL AND/OR EMAIL AND WILL ALSO BE LISTED ON THE COMPETITION PAGE. All prizes will be awarded to the first name as it appears on the entry, and division of prizes among co-directors is the responsibility of the winners. The Beta Movement will use its best efforts to send prizes. Good luck to all participants....14K awaiting!
