One manager in the northern midwest had a subscription plan that ensured his customers would be returning to him in spring to get their winter tires taken off– brilliant.

Tires are a nuisance. They're big, hard to store, and the margin just isn't there.
But on the other hand, tires open up the door to sell some other items that have a much better margin for the shop and really help our customers in the long run.
If you don’t do tires (especially during tire season) you’re missing out on a huge opportunity to sell parts with higher margins, and build new relationships with customers.
