f you've run out of things to watch, just a plug for the vlog - I don't do much talking - if that makes it more attractive!
In lockdown I created this video podcast - I interviewed some of my heroes - just amazing people live via Dogs Today's massive page (1.3 mill followers) and then the recording went on the podcast for people to watch at their leisure. These are unscripted conversations and they transmit live so we never really know what will happen. Highlights include Colin Skeaping, one of the world's first professional stuntmen - who was Luke Skywalker's double for the first three Star Wars - in an era before CGI. So many iconic movies he's been in, but he gave it all up to spend more time at home with his dogs, who also have appeared on our screens and theatre stages. Filmmakers the Higgins brothers who have just started their latest movie - all about Fleur! Lucy's Law inventor Marc Abraham, Pet theft reform campaigner Debbie Matthews, Human and Animal rights QC John Cooper, Reformed TV dog trainer Jordan Shelley, Award-winning TV producer Jemima Harrison, British vet and American academic Dr Ian Dunbar - the inventor of puppy socialisation and lecturer on human s*x - really! These are all recorded and ready to listen. One of them reveals how they came to see Boris Johnson's underpants on the floor in Downing Street, another had Daily Mail photographers hiding in the hedge and it was all my fault - another reveals once seeing a soul leaving someone who died , another was propositioned while delivering a wardrobe ... and one of the above has a very famous father... in fact several of them do!

Was just reading an article on how to get a podcast in the Apple top 100....

Here are there suggestions.... can you help!

Encourage your listeners to review your podcast

One of the best ways to increase your ranking in the iTunes Top 100 list is by getting quality reviews. Listeners have the opportunity to give your podcast one to five stars (with one being the lowest, five being the highest) and leave a short text response with their rating.

In a perfect world, every listener would take the time to write a thoughtful review, but it rarely works out that way.

Instead, podcasters have to regularly point their audience members to the review section on iTunes and encourage them to leave a review. It may seem redundant, but people need to hear something a few times before it sinks in and especially before they take action.

Of course, the best way to entice listeners to review your podcast is by offering an incentive.

Here are a few creative ideas to encourage listeners to review your podcast:

Give them a freebie. Did someone say free? You could give away a free eBook, mini course, or another bundle of goodies. Think about what would offer the most value and use that to encourage your listeners to write unique reviews.

Gosh - what would you like?

Give them a shout out. You may have seen influencers give shout outs to their fans on social media when they share a screenshot of a specific podcast episode. You can do the same by asking your listeners to share their favorite episode with their own audience so you can feature a few of them in your roundup.

Happy to do this?

Host a giveaway. Instead of giving away a freebie to every reviewer, you could enter reviewers in a drawing for a bigger prize. Just make sure you follow FTC guidelines for randomly selected giveaways.
