This is a Benin ivory mask, it is a miniature sculptural portrait in ivory, of Idia, the first Iyoba (Queen Mother) of the 16th century Benin Empire, taking the form of a traditional African mask.
The masks were looted by the British from the palace of the Oba of Benin in the Benin Expedition of 1897.

A supposed academic, by the name of Olanrewaju Fagbohun said to be a former VC of LASU; also without any evidence, said that the flamboyant lifestyles of religious leaders are encouraging the rush for ill-gotten wealth through money rituals.

This terracotta sculpture of a kneeling Figure was found in North central Nigeria off the edge of Jos Plateau.
Nok culture developed sometime during the late Stone Age and early Iron Age. The people of the Nok farmed and created art and pottery.
The village of Nok is near the Jos Plateau region. The discoveries made in 1943, are the oldest known figurative sculpture south of the Sahara.
They date between 500 BC to 200 AD.
